Enjoyable
12 November 2023
Let's get this out of the way, this is not a blockbuster movie and there is nothing wrong with that.

If you are looking to watch an enjoyable film about time travel you'll be pleased.

The time travel element is actually perfectly done to avoid any typical cinema time travel complications. While a paradox does exist, you can easily ignore it and still enjoy the movie; if you even noticed it to begin with.

Morgan Freeman didn't need to be in the movie and is there to draw an audience (He was probably on screen for around 20 minutes, maybe). The character could have been played by anyone. The people that would watch this movie because Freeman is in it are probably not the audience who would enjoy the movie.

The runtime is short enough so it isn't a major commitment and there is enough suspense to keep you engaged.

I rated this a 7/10 because it is the minimum I would score a movie that I enjoyed watching even if I wouldn't watch it again.

The best part about the movie is that it has a beginning setup, a story, and an ending. The cherry on top was that they didn't leave it on a cliffhanger or a cut to black screen to keep you wondering (which I can't stand).

Please note that I am not overly critical of movies and my only requirement is that the movie is entertaining. In this regard, the film succeeded.

It continues to get so much better

Don't review this show after one or two episodes; if you keep watching it the show gets exponentially better.

Characters develop and you will genuinely want to watch the next episode and then the next.

It's no big budget blockbuster show; however, as far as sci-fi TV shows go you can't go wrong.

I thoroughly enjoy this show now and I almost didn't watch Episode 2.

Being from Producer Dean Devlin it has the same feel as other shows I've enjoyed of his such as The Librarians and Leverage. Who knows what this show will evolve into, maybe something, maybe nothing... however, I think if you stick to it you'll find you will end up enjoying the show more than you originally thought.

I want to like it and I think I do
4 November 2016
This show takes weird to another level and I think I like it. There are definitely a few moments that stick out and the ancient setting (according to today's tech standards) really drew my attention. It looks like a very cheap 80s or early 90s show and the acting was great to the point where I think everyone is just playing the part of who they want to be so it's more natural. Maybe the acting being great was a little much, but I found it believable which is a win in my eyes. While it doesn't take much to impress me, this is my kind of show and will be happy to continue watching it. There isn't even a big time investment needed to enjoy the show since it's only 11 minutes long.

2 year update: I love this show wholeheartedly and look forward to every episode. This show needs to remain on the air forever.

This is such a bad show... and I love it.
28 January 2013
Let's be real. The show is terrible. There is no comedic timing. The jokes have been around since I could remember reading Truly Tasteless Jokes in the 80's. The acting is just above the Charlie's Angels re-release. But I laugh during every episode. The show is terrible and I love it.

I get to turn my brain off, sit back, and just enjoy it. Is it really that bad to do that these days? I don't want to have to think too hard when I am looking for entertainment. And this show just crams the jokes down your throat as if to say, "... you don't need to think... HERE have another joke that a five year old can understand."

I look forward to this show every week.

Surprise comedy hit for me
26 March 2011
I started watching this show without any knowledge of what it was about. I based my decision to watch the first episode based on the title and the description on IMDb when I read the phrase "safe...ish" There are very few comedies out there that are clever, amusing, and have new material. This show has it all and the dialogue is written very well. There are times when I think a lot of the actors are just improvising and reacting to others comments which makes interactions more natural.

I had a friend watch one of the episodes, and besides saying the lead female character was extremely attractive, he also thought the dialogue was entertaining and really grabs your attention.

This show is fantastic in its direction, comedy style, and dry humor. There has not been one episode where I did not laugh out loud. It won't make you laugh for minutes, but it will make you laugh for a few seconds several times during an episode.

I recommend this show 100% and give this show a 10 out of 10.

It has potential
14 April 2007
I believe this new show has great potential for becoming a highly addictive series.

Although the acting was forced and even the characters didn't really believe in the roles they were playing, they did pull it off and kept me entertained. I just hope the acting gets better unlike in the short lived show Blade: The Series (also liked that show but oh well)

I did not look at the clock to see when it would end, in fact, quite the opposite. I was hoping it would be a two part premiere.

I like the idea behind the show and will look forward to it next week. I opted not to watch the movie (2005) as I feared it would interfere with the series.

I would recommend this show for all my friends except Daniel who doesn't like science fiction.
