Plague of the Dead (2021)
Some good acting some bad acting, fun movie
Anyone who lived through the covid pandemic and loves zombies may get a kick out of this movie. It was pretty slow going but I did not mind that aspect. Not a lot of zombies are shown and most left up to the viewers imagination. The guy going crazy in his garage singing kinda cracked me up. The outside footage is fun to watch given that the actual lack of humans was on account of a real quarantine going on at the time. I liked the vlog concept to see different points of views and how they are dealing with a quarantine/zombie outbreak. It. To recap: Acting is meh, movie is fun if you watch any and all zombie content.
Vivarium (2019)
Loved this!
The horror and dread stayed with me for weeks after watching this movie. I loved the sets and colors and the way it caused me to think about the reasons behind what I was watching. I had not read any reviews on here so it was all just speculation on my part. I took it at a very base level of the aliens using the humans to raise their children in the only way that they knew how. The intriguing part to me was how the humans handled it. This movie left me with a very creepy feeling and I'm probably going to watch it again just to see if I can pick up anything more I didn't see the first time around.
The Battery (2012)
A quiet zombie movie
This is my favorite type of zombie movies. They do not rely on the gore to carry the story. I am always more interested in the survival aspect and this one hits the nail on the head. The soundtrack was also fun and caused me to download "Anthem For The Already Defeated"
As others have stated if you just want to watch people kill zombies with lots of gore and blood this may not be for you. If you want to watch a survival story about two humans doing the best they can then this is for you.
