Red Notice (2021)
Predictable
- went on too long
- very formulaic
- great actors... Missused
******Spoiler******
- the girlies should've got together, at least a lesbian romance would've made it seem at least partially novel.
The gal-rock romance was simultaneously blindsiding and obvious, purely because of how little sense the relationship makes, and also how obvious as a choice it was.
Fate: The Winx Saga: To the Waters and the Wild (2021)
Good action terrible dialogue- like mega cringe
The charectors are meant to be 16/17 - but look and act like they are in their mid 20s. The use of the word mansplain in the first few minutes lead me to despair - a 16 yr old non ironically using the word when a man is explaining something she has no idea about. The charectors were all dicks to each other at some point, and the Stella-sky thing is insaine. Stella in the cartoons was a redeemable charector for her fun personality, so far she just seems dickish.
All in all the writers must've never seen, met or spoken to any modern 16 year olds at all.
The action scenes were quite good. I'll be watching more, but the charector interactions left me mega cringing.
Snowpiercer (2013)
Grrat
Exhilarating, terrifying, emotional, brutal, great acting, great actors,
The Witcher (2019)
Urgh
I loved this. Initially very confusing, timeline wise, as everything is happening in different times.
I hate how the next season won't be out for another year or so.
Urgh. Loved this. Urgh.
6 Underground (2019)
I loved it
A feel good movie with lots of gratuitous violence and explosions and a bit of plot.
Not for those who want a clear plot, but great for those who just want to watch an exciting lot of noise.
Some plot issues, but not enough to take away from the overall enjoyment factor. 😄.
My rational says about a 6. My heart says a 10.
Loved it.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019)
10/10
