The Late Late Show with James Corden: Mindy Kaling/Yvonne Orji/Majid Jordan (2021)
This show is a time saver
Best thing about the show is that it's so slow, and boring with lots of nonsense you just skip the pedantic stuff and go to the interviews. Then you can watch better, more interesting shows.
The Late Late Show with James Corden (2015)
Pedantic
The start of the show is painfully slow, with nonsensical and uninteresting banter. It gets better when the guests show up. I'm under the 150 characters for this review so this is filler. Carpool karaoke and the street performances are usually quite good.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert: Rebecca Ferguson (2021)
Publicist needed
I was very excited to watch the interview with Rebecca Ferguson about the movie Dune that she was in, but in the first segment she was so insufferable I almost turned it off. I get she's nervous, and if that's the case, just sit quietly and answer the questions rather than being fidgety and weird. Interrupting and bouncing around like a 3 year old is just annoying. I get why Isaacs and Brolin kept their distance lol.
Saturday Night Live: Owen Wilson/Kacey Musgraves (2021)
Slightly amusing
I believe Coln Jost said on Late Night that they hired a bunch of new writers plus some new people on the cast, and if so, it's not the best start. They can't all be gems but the funniest part the whole show were the clips of Norm MacDonald. I miss Kate and Beck already.
RightThisMinute (2011)
Cringe
A show for stupid people by stupid people. Lots of much better clip shows out there.
Saturday Night Live: Bill Burr/Jack White (2020)
When the band isn't laughing at the monologue...
Right off the bat it's an uninspiring and unfunny yell fest of an angry, hate filled bigot. First sketch is another angry yell fest. Bill's negative dark humour would be more appropriate in good times but not now. Jack White and his band mates were on fire. Weekend Update was hilarious as usual especially with Kate and Pete. Basically skip over everything with Bill Burr in it
Star Trek: Discovery: People of Earth (2020)
Fastastic
Another great episode! Well written, funny and interesting. I absolutely loved the reunion
Just for Laughs Gags (2001)
Not funny or engaging
The antithesis of humour only made worse by the horrible laugh track and fake outside noises. I'm guessing putting this on for a live audience was such a dud that they had to use fake audio. It's awful and I despise it. I don't write reviews often; that's how much I hate it
The Following (2013)
Utterly disappointing
I had high hopes for this show considering how good the cast was but the show turned out to be murder that tried too hard to be edgy. The FBI investigators were practically Keystone Cops ignoring standard protocol and the most basic common sense. None of the main characters had much depth and personality so as to generate interest or sympathy for. This had potential but instead was turned into an ugly mess.
