Child abuse, sexual abuse, incest, forced abortion, prostitution...wow what a great film. Sorry but that's not a movie I could ever take seriously or ever enjoy. Watching it I couldn't help but feel pity for the girl and the religious nut who just wants to save her and make her his wife, even if she continues to run away and sleep with other men including his own brother in law (and whom he forgives just a short time later; more fantasy). And before you say I'm missing the point I get it, someone who is so damaged and numb learns to love and trust; how wonderful. But seriously in real life, this would never ever happen. I tried to find a reason to see why some have rated this 8 or more stars but I just couldn't. Just a sad depressing movie.

Not sure who rated this, maybe members of the cast & crew but this movie is pretty bad save for the kidnapping scene and end result but even that was just marginally better. The premises is decent as we've all heard of or maybe some have experienced first hand, the dreaded monster in law or in laws from hell. The difference here is that the initial victim hits her breaking point and fights back. Overall this movie has that low budget feel to it and the acting performances are of high school quality and that's probably being generous. While most is predictable the end result is a little different. But the few ok scenes can't save this movie. Do something better with your time.

I really had no expectations when I decided to watch this movie but aside from some of the usual predictable moments and boneheaded decisions by the two main characters, I actually enjoyed it. For me that was due to a few observations: 1) there were a few small twists in the plot which was a pleasant surprise especially in this type of movie genre and 2) the camera work/cgi effects which looked quite realistic and really gave you a sense of the height with a little vertigo feeling to boot. If you like this type of movie and don't suffer from major vertigo, this one is definitely worth a watch!
