A Norman Rockwell Christmas Story (1995)
Not Perfect. Not Even Close. Just Well Worth watching
This is a mini movie. Runs less than an hour but it really has a long set up. Some of those things could have been better. In fact they should have been better.
In this film a very old man revisits the frozen pond each year to relive the happier moments in his life. At the pond he sees Michael. This young man is an unhappy young boy attempting to skate with his dad's skates. He misses his dad who is now missing in action in Korea. Michael and the older man end up forming a bond.
What is nice about this film is that it shows that "All of us are connected" and that at times "We All Need Each Other".
I wish this was on DVD. I can only stream it. I would buy it and give it to my parents.
Now believe it or not kids most likely will not like this. If you are an empty nester then you most likely will have a great viewing experience!
A Husband for Christmas (2016)
Love the Cast
"This is a television version of Green Card". In that film a woman marries a man so he can have a green card. In this film a man forces a woman to marry her co-worker so he can stay in this country.
Now she doesn't have a boyfriend but he does have a fiance. Things get "real" between the now faux married couple. What do you think is going to happen?
This is easy film to watch. The cast brings their "A-Game" but the story lets them all down however I love the cast so much in this that I still enjoy this film more than most.
Christmas Homecoming (2017)
Stupid
This is one of those films that make you hate "Hallmark Movies". The screenplay is terrible. The acting quality is not there. You have 2 people who are 20 years too old for the parts.
In this film a widow of a soldier is hard up for cash. Her hours are being cut down at work. She is now renting out a room and she happens to rent it out to a solider that is on the mend from combat duty.
Together they are both not only mending each other but they are also trying to save the city's museum. Because this is a Hallmark film you know what is going to happen. A SUGAR COMA!!!
Melanie Remembers: Reflections by Olivia de Havilland (2004)
Spit it Out
This special was like listening to your grandmother spill her guys out about days gone by! Olivia de Havilland and "Gone with the Wind" are national treasures and this interview is interesting however it takes her forever to finish a sentence!
This special was made for the 65th Anniversary of "Gone With The Wind". It is very interesting to watch but trust me if feel like its another 65 years before Olvia finishes the simplest of stories.
I was glad to watch this interview however when they include this on future home video releases I hope they cut it down. She is a huge bore to listen to!
I think with voice over questions and editing this could become more entertaining!
Without Warning (1980)
Fun Film
I saw this on HBO in 1982. It was a late Summer Night. I loved it. The perfect movie to watch. in this film 4 friends are out for the day hiking. Without them knowing (of course) something is hunting humans! A top notch cast of pros make this film lots of fun.
Future Academy Award Winners are in this film. The late Jack Palance & Martin Landau help make this film creepy. The new comers (at the time) included David Caruso.
Hard to believe that this film never had a home video release in the United States Until 2014.
If you ever feel like watching a creepy chiller late at night this is the perfect film to do so.
