Doctor Who: Flux: Chapter One - The Halloween Apocalypse (2021)
Doctor Who is back baby
This was a fantastic opener. Say whatever you will about her first two series, but her openers have always been good and the Halloween apocalypse is no exception.
The episode had a lot going on simultaneously. There are a lot of plot threads that have been initiated and it'll be fun to see how they connect together during the climax of flux.
A lot of new characters were added and Yaz was highly improved upon. She had more character in her compared with the previous two series combined.
So yeah. Flux is looking good and I'm really excited.
Curb Your Enthusiasm: Running with the Bulls (2017)
It's still hilarious. What's wrong with the audience?
Curb Your Enthusiasm season 9 is amazing and just as strong as it's predecessors. This particular episode had all the classic elements of any fantastic episode from earlier seasons. People are weird.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 11: The Heiress (2020)
This just keeps getting better ans better!
BRILLIANT! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE TO ADD!
Okay it's not letting me post so I'll write a few more lines. This episode is a bit short. But it is action packed with LITERALLY everything I love about star wars. Din's search for other Mandos leads him on a new adventure. This episode will make you squeak like a little kid. Definitely watching it again tomorrow.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 10: The Passenger (2020)
This show is creating the future.
Brilliant episode as usual. It was a cinematic beauty. Got to see a lot more of Baby Yoda. Just when I think Mando cannot be more badass, he proves me wrong. This ep also explores deeper into the biodiversity of the star wars universe. Brilliant ep. Nothing more to say.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 9: The Marshal (2020)
Mando is back! THIS IS THE WAY
WHAT AN EPISODE! Everything from start to finish is simply mesmerising. Jon Favreau, sir, you are the chosen one. I was thinking for the entire lenght of the episode that i realize how lucky I am to be a part of this universe which has a series like the Mandalorian. Nothing else to write. Just fantastic. Can't wait for the next episode.
This is the way.
Doctor Who: Before the Flood (2015)
Bootstrap paradox finally addressed
Ingenious episode! This season seems to be running on two parters. And boy! What an amazing story. Right from the start, when the Doctor talked directly with the audience, I knew this is going to be a phenomenal episode to watch. And it was. The whole story was concluded so well. Not a single character was useless. Each and every one had a part to play. I loved the actress who played Cass. Her acting was splendid! The story addressed a very relevant topic when it comes to time travelling (which Doctor Who itself never got really paid much attention to) - the bootstrap paradox. In simple words, if you possess an information which you received from someone who learned about it in his past, and then you time travel to the past and tell him about the information so that he delivers it to you in the future, the question arises - who came up with that information in the first place? This phenomenon has been shown in the show on multiple occasions (time crash, season 6's time and space mini episodes, blink, etc) but never formally had it been addressed so elegantly. This story has instantly become one of my top favorite Who stories and I will not be forgetting it anytime soon. I may come back and watch it all over again soon though. 12/10
Doctor Who: Nightmare in Silver (2013)
Gaiman is back, and he was absolutely fantastic!
Another wonderful episode. I am not a part of the season 7 diss herd. I've enjoyed this season just as well as 11's past 2 seasons. And believe me, I have LOVED THEM. It's a fantastic setup. Fantastic writing. Fantastic acting, except for the children. They were a pain in my cyber rear. Annoyed the silurians out of me! But they were the only weak point of this story, yet, the plot does seem to hold meaning because of them, so I'd be sick to cut a single point out of this episode. Matt keeps proving time and again that he's THE Doctor. His performance was sensational. I was in awe while watching the chess scene. Clara is the cutest and probably one of my favorite companions already. And in this episode she proved that she can be anything she wants to be including a mother or a soldier. Gaiman always ups the game and introduces adds a mythological feel to the story. He makes doctor who his own genre. I cannot keep my mouth shut though, as this review does contain spoilers. I had my heart in my hands when eleven said the magic words - FANTASTIC AND ALLONS-Y. I Just had it. These two words sold the entire episode to me and it was already sold when I read "written by Neil Gaiman"
Doctor Who: Vincent and the Doctor (2010)
The Ultimate Ginge - FANTASTIC
Doctor Who is one of those shows that can hit your deepest heartstrings. This episode is what Doctor Who is all about. It had everything - from history to fantasy sci-fi. The episode was an emotional roller coaster. The actor who played the role of Vincent Van Gogh deserves all the respect in the world. The absence of Rory was duly acknowledged by the writer in some heartwarmingly creative ways. I can't really say anything else without spilling plot points so all I'm gonna say is this - last time when I cried while watching Doctor Who was during 'The end of time'. This episode was powerful enough to do that. The end of time said goodbye to one of the best doctors of all time and this episode is not even a finale. This alone speaks volumes. Would've rated more than 10 if I had the authority.
