Disturbing the Peace (2020)
Disturbing!
Or at tv listing called it: distributing the peace.
As with all the other reviews, this was a very poor film, disappointing the Guy Pearce took this on, I don't think it did him any favours.
Storyline was atrocious with a whole town in some sort of lockdown, deputy had nothing about him other than a few crap lines, lots of opportunities for both deputy and Marshall to bring down the gang but wandering around with no care in the world while half a dozen hostages were held, dodging bullets and blowing up cars. Why didn't the security guard driver just reverse out of the alley before they blew the doors? Why didn't the Marshall shoot the girl with the machine gun while she was changing magazines? Terrible!
The real tragedy was, I watched to the end hoping it would get better and there would be some action.
Renegades (2022)
Such a shame
Only watched 30 minutes so far and expected so much more from some decent actors but sadly, the acting is atrocious, Patsy Kensit has forgotten how to act, the two detectives look like something out of the muppet show. How much Botox has she got on her lips?
Not only is the dialogue crap, it's out of sync most of the time and the storyline, although old hat is decent but spoiled by crap action and terrible acting. Only fools and horses cast would make a better job, oh wait, we've got one of them already.
Now the villains: lesser known actors and you can see why, they are even more appalling..
Shadow Wolves (2019)
Complete tosh!
This is the second poor Prime video I've watched this week and whilst I thought the storyline was good, with a couple of reasonable actors, it turned out to be a load of tosh. Disjointed storyline, extremely poor action, elite force my arse! There was no content, action, if you dare to call it such, jumped from Mexico to London, back to Mexico and introduced a couple of characters that suddenly appeared in Mexico with one very weak link that took us nowhere and the villain they were supposedly chasing somehow managed to escape them. This villain, without any clear indication of how he found the elite force Shadow Wolves leader, captures his family (oops, spoiler) and manages to build and plant a bomb while the elite force with modern weapons couldn't hit a barn door while the rest of the villains managed to hold them off with a couple of rifles/shotguns. That's definitely and hour and a half I'll never get back! One watched in the hope it will get better, don't waste your time!
