Monsters Inside: The 24 Faces of Billy Milligan (2021)
A great story ruined by pathetic editing
Billy Miligan's story is a case study in the world of psychology. It could've been so much better had it been done by a different editor and director.
It almost seems like the editor and director are themselves schizophrenic. Not 30 seconds goes by before there's pathetic grungy graphics.
And what's with the interview techniques? All the people who're interview are made to sit on an uncomfortable upright chair and shot weird places like corridor of a school, inside a jail cell, in the middle of an empty restaurant, inside a bank vault, in between church pews, etc. The B-roll shots with grungy effects are annoying af.
The director and editor needs to get their mind checked for such pathetic way of shooting and editing the show.
Lupin (2021)
Too far fetched. Waste of time
They've shown main character to be invincible. He evades an entire theatre full of security. He outruns a dozen cops in a park in daylight. He vanishes in the blink of an eye without any logical reasoning. His friends can hack anything. His new accomplice gets direct access to France's richest man and becomes his financial advisor overnight. That guys fools an inspector by telling him that the massive crates enough got hide a man have "hard drivers" in them for online auction. It's so stupid and far fetched.
Comedy Premium League (2021)
Not sure why the hate. I found it funny
I have no clue why people hate it and why all the negative reviews. We found it quite funny.
SPOILER ALERT --
I don't agree with the choice of winners. I totally think IDGAF Iguanas should've won. Their qawalli skit was hilarious. But overall it's a fun show.
The Mosquito Coast (2021)
Waste of time. Wish I hadn't watched it. Rubbish
The show started on great promise in first two episodes. Even had hope when they were crossing the border but after that it was plain stupid.
The guy said had everything planned out and yet once out of the house, he was grasping at the straws. Had no real plan or connections. Nowhere to go. The build up his character like he knows it all yet makes the most mind-numbing stupid decisions.
Also, how did Chuy with a pistol kill 3 guys with machine guys. In one scene it was mexican standoff and in the next scene the three guys were dead and Chuy was standing. How did that happen? Terrible writing and direction.
Also, why does every show need to have a petulant, annoying teenager who rebels for no reason and puts everyone's life in danger? Dina is probably the most annoying character of the show.
Raja, Rasoi Aur Anya Kahaniyaan (2014)
One the best food shows ever!
The show is so brilliantly research. It not only showcases food but goes behind the history of it all. It's a lesson in history and culture.
Simply brilliant!
The World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals (2021)
First the hosts!
I love travel shows and was so looking forward to this one. While the locations are great, and I'd give 9/10 on location, the hosts are so bad, they pull the rating down to 1/10.
None of the three have any knowledge about travelling or have any sensible travel tips to offer. For them everything is just "beautiful" and "great", and they add absolutely nothing to the show.
It's nauseating how the show's editor tries so hard to make their regular statements like "View is everything" come across like some profound quote.
While the girls are bad, the guy is truly and utterly pathetic. The guy doesn't miss a single opportunity to showoff that he's a realtor from NYC.
The show would've been 1000x better had they not had these three nincompoops and instead just shown the properties with voice over.
