101 Places to Party Before You Die (2022)
Disappointing & Predictable
I think TruTV must have been hoping that these two friends would be as bankable as the Impractical Jokers. They were wrong. These guys aren't funny, and they spend way too much time laughing at each other's unfunny "jokes". The rest of their time is spent eating, drinking, and getting high. In every show. It's boring, disappointing, predictable, and a complete waste of time. They make men look bad! 👎
Right in Front of Me (2021)
Predictable
This movie had an even more predictable plot than most of Hallmark's movies. The plot was boring, and plodded along until the end, without any interesting plot twists. The acting was fine, with exception of the lead roles. Marco Grazzini was believable as Nick, while Janel Parrish didn't do as well. Unlike so many other Hallmark movies, I won't be watching this one again.
Eight Gifts of Hanukkah (2021)
So Boring!
This is a quick and easy review - this movie is terribly boring! The lead character is boring. I love Hallmark Christmas movies. I've been watching them for years, and know most of them by memory. I couldn't even sit through the entirety of this movie, and gave up after an hour. It's like watching paint dry. And the "mystery" isn't very mysterious. Hallmark, you can - and have - done better!
Love, Fall & Order (2019)
Worse Than a Typical Hallmark Movie
This movie follows the typical Hallmark formula, which is fine. The two main actors aren't the best that Hallmark offers, but they're not bad, either. They're also fine. What isn't fine is the ageism in this movie. Treating elderly characters like they're slow and tech-stupid is unacceptable. The condescension displayed in this movie is appalling! I'm not a senior, but I've seen many who are more tech savvy than people half their age. Hallmark can and should be treating their watchers much better than this. Especially since senior citizens definitely are part of their target audience!
iCarly (2021)
Disappointing
Jerry Trainor, Miranda Cosgrove and Nathan Kress resumed their roles with ease, but the new additions to the cast don't work. Also, the show is really missing its spark without Jennette McCurdy. Without Sam, this reboot falls flat.
Backyard Bar Wars (2021)
This had the potential to be good
I was looking forward to watching this show. The commercials looked fun, and it was conveniently on after Impractical Jokers, who I watch all the time. It started off okay - the host seemed personable, and the contractor seemed nice - and that's where it ended. The host repeatedly insisting that marijuana be included in the build, and saying "it's legal now" repeatedly, finished me. Booze wasn't enough for you, truTV? I'm not a prude, but I'm sick of people pushing marijuana on others. Because of this, I'm done. What a disappointment, truTV! I know others who feel the same way! 👎🏻
The Baker's Son (2021)
A Sweet Story with a Good Cast
I enjoyed this movie! It had Hallmark's positive romantic vibes, but the story was a little more involved. The cast was good overall, with a quirky character or two. I especially enjoyed Eloise Mumford and Nathaniel Arcand (who isn't on IMDB's cast list at the time of writing this). I wish Hallmark would use these two actors more in future movies. I would watch this again, and recommend it to others!
Love on Harbor Island (2020)
I've seen almost all of Hallmark's movies...
...and this one is just meh.
The storyline is pretty standard for Hallmark, but there is no chemistry between the lead actors at all. The whole movie was pretty lackluster and boring. The only shining stars were the dogs that popped up once in a while!
Impractical Jokers: The Bachelor Party (2021)
This episode was a huge disappointment! Have they jumped the shark?
I've literally watched most, if not every episode, of the Impractical Jokers many, many times, and the punishment to Murr in this episode wasn't funny. I'm used to Murr taking a beating from the other three guys (which I think is BS), but this time it was too much. A catheter? It's not funny! I'm a Registered Nurse, and there are possible risks to inserting and removing catheters, regardless of who does it. The primary concern of inserting a catheter is infection, so it isn't done unless absolutely necessary. Additionally, there is trauma to the area, and that comes with further risks.
This wasn't funny. Sal and Q constantly being a jerk to Murr isn't funny, it's just old and boring. You lost a devoted fan.
A Christmas Tree Grows in Colorado (2020)
Dumb Story, Mediocre Acting.
I don't want to spoil anything for those who might want to watch this, so I'll just say that the plot is ridiculous. I mean, having problems finding a tree in Colorado? Come on! However, what bothered me the most was the acting. The female acting is fine, but the acting from the men, Mark Taylor and Peter Bryant, is what really made me turn the channel. Mark Taylor was very wooden, and Peter Bryant just wasn't believable as a Mayor. In general, there was no chemistry between the lead couple.
I've watched Hallmark's Christmas movies for years, and this is below their standards. I don't know why they made it. If you're interested in a similar, believable storyline and acting with good chemistry, check out Miss Christmas!
Top Secret Videos (2020)
There is nothing funny about this show. It's terrible! Save yourself, don't watch it!
The hosts are not funny in any way, and the woman is annoying, too. Their commentary consists of them laughing at their own "jokes" which aren't witty or amusing at all, plus, the videos aren't entertaining. The premise that they work for the government in some secret (?) capacity, is just stupid, makes no sense, and lends nothing to the show.
I seldom write reviews, but this show is so bad that I had to warn people!
