Johnny Flash (1986)

all beginnings are difficult

Well what can I say about this one... If you do not know/like Helge Schneider, leave it out. But if you are a fan of daft and marginal humor go ahead and watch it. Although its runtime is only about 77 minutes it protracts a lot. It is kind of dumb and has no real plot - but it features Helge Schneider and his matchlessness. Anyway Schneider and his companion Andreas Kunze, who plays his mother, are exceptional in this movie. By the way Kunze seems to be most suitable for playing Schneiders mother considering other movies of them like "Texas - Doc Snyder hält die Welt in Atem". Both are a brilliant match-up. When watching it have a look at the scene at the thrift, when Schneider is passing his ID to Kunze. So in case you liked it, I recommend Texas", "Praxis Dr. Hasenbein", "00 Schneider" and "Jazzclub" to you.

Club Las Piranjas (1995 TV Movie)

small but nice

This movie is hilarious - but only for fans of Kerkeling. He is a brilliant comedian in Germany. "Club Las Piranjas" is, besides his former picture "Kein Pardon", a must-see for all devotees of coruscating humor. This film is much more better than Kerkelings last one "Samba in Mettmann". So if you have seen this one before don't be deterred by "Club Las Piranjas". This is really a masterpiece. I have to admit that the first half is much more better than the rest but who cares, when you have such a terrific cast as Kerkeling, Brandner, Milster and Winter. All of them are excellent character actors in Germany. So if you are looking for an enjoying but candid movie you have to see it. It's worth watching- it is!
