Aftermath (2016)
Yeah, it is a bit out there
I have watched all the shows from season one that have been shown in the UK so far. It is a bit out there tbh.
It does make a change to see the wife playing the lead role, while the husband takes second fiddle. As for their children, they have had a lot of growing up to do as the world falls apart around them.
Death and destruction seem to be the order of the day for all the characters as they seek out safety.
Some themes in the series i can accept, some i can't.
At the end of the day, it is entertainment and if you like that kind of science fiction, then good on you.
The Darkness (2016)
Terrible film that could have had promise
This was just terrible, but it could have had promise.
A few tweaks here and there would have added some colour to this film.
When the autistic lad fell into an underground chamber, finding some really old stones, you knew where the film was heading. Sadly, I have seen more scares in an episode of Dr Who than this piece of work by so called professional people who should have known better.
The lead actors were awful, especially Kavon Bacon, who looked like he wanted to be somewhere else most of the time.
The only time the film got going, and I use that term sparingly, was in the last 15 or 20 minutes.
I bet there will be The Darkness II.
Forsaken (2016)
This Film was not good, but was not a bad either
This film was not good, but was not a bad film either.
Having read numerous reviews about this movie, I had to watch it and judge for myself.
When watched, you got what you paid for, a film about evil possession and not much else.
I have seen far worse possession type films other than Forsaken.
The atmosphere was creepy enough and that would have been expected for this genre.
The film will please some and equally disappoint others.
I thought the accompanying music added something.
