Star Trek: Therapy

The first 2 seasons were great. Season 4 left me wondering what happened. It's almost as if the script writers were replaced by Kamala Harris' speech writer. Scenes in which the heroes only had minutes to act to save the crew were interrupted by emotional arguments that could have waited. Actors were dodging explosions before they happened. If this series is going to survive, it's going to need to return to good storytelling. The directing could also handle some improvements. Bouncing between upside down and upside right camera angles added nothing to the story, instead it distracted from it. Hopefully the creators will learn from the feedback before season 5, if it survives.

World War Four (2019)

It's so bad It's bad.

I think there may have been one other movie that was worse than this. The story probably sounded good as a concept, but the combination of geopolitical battles was incoherent and very poorly executed. Tom Clancy also predicted Russian aggression against Ukraine (as well as Georgia; he even got the timeline right) in his 2002 video game: Ghost Recon.

While the writer may have a reasonable analysis of where the world is headed, he did a poor job of bringing it all together in this movie.

If it's entertainment you're after, any other movie would be better.

If it's an understanding of geopolitics, try reading Michael Totten or Tom Clancy.

If it's modern weaponry being put to use, pick up the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare franchise for your favorite game console or PC.

Breach (IV) (2020)

Even if you treat it as a comedy, it's still bad

I hope Bruce's flask was filled with the real stuff; I can't see any way that he could have made it through this movie without being half in the bag. And why are all these reviews so high? This so-called film doesn't deserve the 3.7 rating it currently has. Bruce, I don't think there was anything you could have done to save this movie. The writing, directing, editing and visuals just plain sucked.

The force is strong with this one....

No spoilers here. I will say that so far there has has been such a range of material from the movies, books, and even the video games that I couldn't imagine anything of higher quality for us fans. It's so good that my only fear is that the creative team will be fired out of jealousy from the head honchos at Disney.

This episode is deserving of all the ten stars I could give it.

Bigger than Watergate

Having read some of Lee Smith's other books, I couldn't pass this up. This should be required viewing in the US today, as well as any other country where citizens may fear their government weaponizing the full force of the justice system and intelligence agencies against their fellow citizens for political gain. Someday I hope to see a sequel where the perpetrators of this treason are brought to justice.
