Elysium (2013)
OK, but could be better
The story is solid and clear enough for your stereotypical blockbuster, but Blomkamp gives the film more meatiness by throwing in themes that are impacting the world today, such as poverty, immigration, the class system, and overpopulation. It's amazing to see some intelligence in a sci-fi, because it teaches viewers as they watch firearms blazing and desperate people trying to fit into an illegal ship to Elysium. Damon is a sturdy Max De Costa with strong physique and amazing wit. Copley has a good chance of giving you bad dreams while showing no mercy.
Agent (2017)
Let's get real, this movie is rubbish. BEWARE FAKE REVIEWS.
It is obvious Agent is not a real film. It is a kiddie project. Some people might tolerate the bad writing, acting, and story line. But, anyone saying overly nice things is being paid or being polite. I get it. You don't tell a mother her baby is ugly. And this film is ugly.
To the people getting paid to write fake good comments about this film: STOP. You are helping the filmmakers scam people into buying/renting this bad film. Read the candid comments all over from disappointed viewers who feel ripped off. That's not cool.
To the filmmakers, if you continue down this path of deception, no one will take you seriously and you will be forgotten.
Rogue One (2016)
Impressive level of detail
Long-time Star Wars fan here. This spinoff stayed true to the canon and even had exquisite levels of detail. Why were the AT-ATs destroyed so easily in this film? They were AT-ACTs (All Terrain Armored Cargo Transport). These were not designed for attacking, but transporting supplies and possibly shipments of Kyber crystals to the Death Star. So it's believable they were not as heavily armored as the AT- ATs. In addition, transports were going up against starfighters and Imperial surface-to-air missiles rather than snowspeeders. Impressive level of detail!
