Scoop (2023)
Bad Story flow and dialogues, slow and boring.
Hard to believe this is directed by Hansal Mehta, man known for scam 1992.
Come on, you are making a movie on underworld, where is the thrill? And what a waste of Deven Bhojani, such a talented actor from Office office.
The dialogues and the story could not keep me interested even beyond second episode. Its jumbled story flow, underdeveloped characters , and lack of a consistent tone make it a challenging watch for anyone seeking a satisfying narrative experience. One of the major issues plaguing "Scoop" is its lack of character development. The main characters remain one-dimensional throughout the series, making it nearly impossible to connect with or invest in their journeys. I'd give 2 stars and will say directors to not get paid reviews.
Njan Prakashan (2018)
Simple story line, no over drama, no over reaction with good humour. Must watch!
Good acting by Faahad and other characters. This is my 6-7th Malyalam movie and I've completely stopped watching Bollywood.
It was a simple life story where we can connect to our lives. The way Fahad's Gopal ji supported him, was wonderful. First half was poetic and cinematography is beautiful. Already in love with Kerala.
Towards the second half, movie takes a turn and shows more acceptance of life. It's a must watch with family and we need to make more movies like this.
Faahad as an actor was phenomenal. The direction was superb, the humourous punches were spot on.
I think every one from non malyali crowd must watch this movie because they will enjoy it.
Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum (2023)
A decent watch, good acting by Faahad Faasil, a light hearted film with a beautiful message.
For starters, I do not understand why some of the reviewers give 1 star to this film, may be they very high expectation with the movie.
I saw the movie on Amazon Prime, and it just felt like a fresh air. Although, the story was simple, yet the director keeps you engaged with different turns of the movie.
Faahad and the actress, did justice with their characters. Others added humour with dialogues and lastly, the movie has a beautiful message of how if we want, only one person can uplift the society, how we can change families by literacy.
To be frank, I do not understand Malyalam but this is not my first malyalam movie and it was worth the time I spent, with it's emotions and story. Faahad, was wonderful, the movie deserves at least 8 stars.
Do watch it to feel better about life!
Leila (2019)
Worth a watch
While we watch news today, we do see mob culture prevalant, with hate mongering and anyone raises any question against the govt, being arrested. This webseries discusses about things that can happen if one religion is kept over another religion and when news channels are dishonest and paid. I would ask everyone to watch this with an unbiased mind, and take it as a fictional movie, not something which is real... It deserves atleast 8 starts but I'll go with 9. Huma Qureshi and Siddharth did justice with their roles and I would suggest it's a must watch.
Spenser Confidential (2020)
Good one time watch
Movie can be watched once, and it is entertaining and we don't get bored while watching it. Good action, fast moving flick, with good direction, story and action.
Hamid (2018)
This movie has it all, brilliant direction, heart-touching acting and a hope for the future
Hamid is a simple movie, with a simple message. This movie should actually be a hit because it has every ingredient to be one. A meaningful story of a boy who develops a friendship with a soldier unknowingly.
The movie captures the beauty of Kashmir which is accompanied with broken souls, on the both sides who are losing lives.
The underline message is. we can be the hero of someone without even letting them know. It is a must watch, catch it on netflix!
Fauda (2015)
It will grip your soul, from the highs and lows, compelling you to finish as soon as possible
I watched both of the series of Fauda in a span of 3-4 days, it was so intense, and looked so real as the filmmakers show real side of both sides in Israel and Palestine.
It manages to capture your attention till the complete end of Season 2. Characters Doron Kavillio, Dr. Shirin El Abed, Abu Ahmed and his nephew do complete justice with their roles. Not only that, the other characters have played their roles beautifully. The series will make you cry on certain points, because you will be sad with desperation but I feel that's the part of life in this conflict of Israel and Palestine.
It was my first Israeli- Arabic show, I plan to watch more of it and waiting for Season 3 of Fauda. Three cheers for the team behind this amazing show.
October (2018)
Amazing Movie
Watch it for some realistic life experience Director holds you till the end and then leaves you in tears. I don't know why I cried.. may be because the pain of my personal life came out as tears, the movie is heart-touching.
