Dumb, Mildly Entertaining
8 September 2009
This movie is pretty dumb but still manages to be mildly entertaining. I'm a big fan of Ms. Bullock so I pretty much love all the movies she has done, or at least I mean I love her performances in those movies. She is really good with comedies such as this but she just doesn't have much to work with in this movie, it makes me wonder what she saw in a project like this from day one. Thomas Haden Church is also good in his role but all the characters (especially Bullock) and the story itself get really old really fast. Basically she's a lunatic stalker type person who is madly in love with this B-level celebrity guy and follows him around, does weird things. It is funny at first and there are a couple moments that made me laugh through the movie but over all it was just the same joke spread out over an hour and a half. It's totally predictable what happens with the girl-pursues-guy story, even more predictable than most movies of that type. This movie is worth missing unless or until you can watch it for free when you have 90 minutes to waste and nothing to do at all.

Was Great, Now Boring
5 September 2009
William Peterson was great and now that he is gone the show has really fallen off from the once great heights it used to be at. CSI was the best show on television early on in the show's run, like seasons 2-4 it peaked with great episodes every week and huge ratings. The performances were all great but Peterson carried the show and if he's really gone for good I think the show will suffer and eventually just die off. Maybe it would be suffering anyone just because that is naturally what happens with shows they last a few years and no matter how good they are they just get old or stale or people get bored of them for whatever reason. NYPD blue would be a good example of that too, another good show that just got boring.

Good Show
3 September 2009
Hotel was a pretty good show. I never would have heard of it but my aunt has it on old VHS tapes and she gave it to my mom and we watched it together last summer. I really liked the character of Heidi. The show was not so well produced as other shows like this you might see today but that is not exactly surprising when you realize that this show was on in 1983! I see that the show was on for like five years according to IMDb here but I only saw about ten or twelve episodes total because that is all we had on those tapes, so I guess I will have to wait to see the rest until someday when this is rebroadcast again on television or it comes out on DVD or something.

Really Bad Show, Unoriginal & Unfunny
3 September 2009
Hot Box is a really bad show, I have watched many episodes with my friend who works at CTV (CTV owns the Comedy network) and every one of them has failed to make me laugh even one time. I am a fan of Sean Cullen and there have been his parts and a few other short sketches that are kind of interesting or at least not bad but most of the stuff in this show is just terrible, not just not funny but unoriginal and so bad it makes we want to turn the channel and never turn it back. A lot of the show's style comes from Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job which is an awesome show but Hot Box can do that style but doesn't deliver anything funny like Tim and Eric do. It is basically a bunch of quick, short clips with most of them very weird but not funny weird, just stupid. I guess it is a show for potheads but you know someone who is a pothead will laugh at anything that doesn't make it good. The production value is good, there is a lot poorly produced but they obviously did that on purpose the way Tim and Eric would do a cheesy infomercial like from the 1980s they do that style of stuff, but also a lot of animation scenes etc that are extremely well produced. Still this show is just awful I haven't seen a less funny show in quite a long time.

Average
1 September 2009
I had low expectations going into this movie which I really only honestly went to see to make my boy friend happy because he was a huge G.I. Joe junkie when he was growing up, but even though I had such low low expectations this movie was still just average. There were some good effects and this movie is all about the over the top action sequences and battles between G.I. Joe and Cobra, after all this is a guy movie almost entirely just for guys, but the plot was just stupid and the acting was pretty awful, you could tell all the professional actors in this were just going through the motions to collect what I'm sure must have been huge, huge pay checks. Not as awful as I was expecting but not worth paying good money to see at the theatre either, a ho hum movie.

Brain Dead and Awful!
10 April 2006
This movie is pointless. What a waste of Jon Heder, who was so wicked awesome in Napoleon Dynamite! This movie couldn't make me laugh if I was high on laughing gas and smoking marijuana at the same time.

Whoever is responsible for this movie should be fired.

David Spade has been pointless for years! He hasn't done a funny movie since Chris Farley died. Dickey Roberts? Joe Dirt? Horrible movies.

Rob Schneider's never made a good movie. The Animal, Hot Chick, both Deuce Bigelow: Male Gigolo movies - they were all so stupid and pointless! Why is he still getting chances to crap up movies that might otherwise be good? Anyway this movie is one of those awful movies that doesn't even make you laugh and just makes you feel stupid for wasting your money on it and because it kills your brain cells every second you are watching it as well.

AVOID THIS BAD, BAD MOVIE!

A real piece of poop.
30 March 2006
doulike2watch.com is the worst movie ever. it is not scary, it is not funny and it is not entertaining on any level at all. the plot/script is terrible and it has stupid dialogue, and the acting is so bad it goes past being laughably bad to the point where you almost have to cry because it is so sad. daryn jones (from the buzz) sticks out especially bad for his terrible, terrible performance that almost drove me to kill myself. just because you're on t.v. walking around and making fun of people doesn't mean you can act! but then again the buzz sucked too so i guess we shouldn't be surprised at how bad he is in this. anyway that's it. i wish i could give it a zero but i can't go less than one. too bad because that's what it deserves.

Excellent! If You Like Scrubs You Will Love "Intern Academy"!
24 August 2005
It's good to see that great Canadian comedy movies can still be made! Dave Thomas of SCTV fame has written a great modern comedy here. If you like the T.V. show "Scrubs" (and most people do) then you will love "Intern Academy" too.

This movie is kind of a cross between the Police Academy movies (in a good way), National Lampoon's movies and of course "Scrubs".

Some of the scenes are more adult oriented but this movie will have you laughing and more than once. This is definitely the best Canadian comedy of the year. I have also seen "Ham and Cheese" (awful despite scenes with Dave Foley and Scott Thompson) and this movie is so much better.

"Intern Academy" also has a lot of recognizable Canadian actors and comedy performers who all turn in good performances.

Buy this movie, see this movie, watch this movie!

A Bad, Awful, Horrible, Pointless, Terrible Waste Of Dave Foley & Scott Thompson!!!
24 August 2005
This movie came out at blockbuster across the street from me like a week ago and Wednesday night I saw it in the used bin for $6.99. I never heard of it but it had Dave Foley and Scott Thompson in it so I thought I would give it a try. I asked the guy behind the counter why it was for sale so quickly and he said they've only been renting one copy per night at most anyway. Still I bought it to see Dave Foley and Scott Thompson and besides Blockbuster has a special right now for 2 movies for $12 and I was already buying "Rise of the Phoenix".

It was a mistake, I should have listened to the employee. Especially when the employee at Blockbuster admits a movie is really bad, that must mean the movie is REALLY bad, and it was. I should have listened to the voice in my head saying "turn this movie off, it's horrible and won't get better" but I didn't. Dave Foley and Scott Thompson were both all right, but the movie's plot was pretty bad and none of the other characters were very good, especially the two leads and most especially the fat one. This might be the worst movie I've ever seen. If you watch it, wait until it's on T.V. for free.

2/10 (I have to give KITH members at least one point each!)

great Canadian comedy!
17 August 2005
this show on cbc featured a lot of canada's best known stand up comedy acts. the show looked good, better than today's "ctv comedy now" series that has taken it's place. i don't know why cbc cancelled "comics" but they should bring it back. it could not cost to much to budget wise because it is just one set and one performer. i don't remember many names but obviously comedy depends on taste and there were many we didn't like. but there were a few outstanding performers like brent butt, derrek edwards and winston spears. sean cullen was also on if you like that kind of weird comedy. i recommend this show if you like Canadian stand up comedy, and who doesn't!

Rocket Robin Hood (1966–1969)
awesome!
17 August 2005
this show has been dated quite a bit because it is so old but i was so excited to see it running in reruns on the cartoon channel! the show is very old but it is Canadian and is so "retro-cool" i could scream. i remember watching this show as a kid and can't believe i still love it this much. the drawings/animation are pretty dated but that is one of the things that makes the show so interesting. if you are a fan of today's high tech cartoons with their "smoother" animation you won't like this show to much but for those of us who do this is a can't miss show. not sure if it was on much, or well know, in the united stated. the stories can sometimes be slow paced and it is really frustrating sometimes that they always repeat the entire very long opening credits scene after each break but that is because it was filmed and put on television originally in serial style.

The Consultants (2000 TV Movie)

amateurish production
17 August 2005
there are funny parts but over all "the consultants" looks like a show, and feels like, a show that a group of friends shot in one of their houses with a non-professional camera. the lighting at times is so dark you can not make out what exactly is going on and even sometimes who it is that is talking. the actors are not that bad but only when you are considering that this is such an amateurish production. they deliver a few laughs but in my opinion not enough to necessitate watching the whole program which is probably about 20 minutes to long. maybe worth a watch on t.v. or for free but i would not buy this or rent it unless it's really cheap. there is nobody you ever heard of in this show or who produced or directed it.
