Amazing story line and Kamal will be kept high through out the movie as "Enga Annan" by his assistants.Dialogues are crispy and very timing oriented so if we miss one we cannot follow that sequence. Guitar BGM is very good and songs are too good. Ramesh kanna acting will be simply outstanding. Kamal Chennai slang is WAOOOO!. Movie has some classic touch excluding the local Chennai background and some stunt scenes. Movie ends with a usual Kamal's Car Fight in the end.

One of the best movies of Dir. Bharathiraja.Isaignani Illayaraja's BGM and songs are too good. A haunting beat comes up in every murder sequence.Therye first murder scene
will be very interesting and captures the entire audience. Kamalhasan would have under played and represents the best romantic moments with Madhavi.
The last 1 hour will be a seat edge thriller with chases and stunts.A fight scene inside a dark room will be nice.
Entire movie is filled with enough glamour since the story revolves around Models, However it will be suitable for the screenplay.
Really worth for the Music and Direction. The movie was a Super hit.

Nice movie but did not do well in Box office although it was a moderate Hit.
Kamal hasan comes with a commercial avatar of dancing with heroines and glamorous duets.
Very nice thriller and involves a murder mystery.
Typical Illayaraja's western music and endhan nenjil, dil bar jaane songs will be superb.
For 90's the movie had lot of new aspects like pop singing and drugs.
Movie has typical Kamal hasan's style dance moves and 4 fight scenes especially the longest fight in climax.
Overall watchable once for its crime aspect and presentation.

Making : Amazing direction by Bharathan sir and camera by PC Srirram. Every frame is captured very well and even now the film looks fresh with an artistic feel.
Kamalhasan : Elegant performance and would have under played in front of Chevaliar Sivaji , Revathi and others. However he would have added some commercial elements like 5 Songs and 3 fight scenes. Silambattam is a visual treat. Climax performance is awesome and one of the best scenes of that decade.
Giving 9/10 just for Kamal's Casteism push on the title and the representation of a long gory fight sequence in the end. He beheads his cousin brother and a realistic shot which gave me fear those days.

A must watch by every Indian citizen to know the consequences of Money.The saddest Indian movie but with a moderate happy ending. One cannot imagine such a dreadful life but if we look at the reality lot of people have gone-going through several pathetic journey. Every Father should cry on that scene where Kamal rescues his daughter from that Redlight area of Calcutta. The movie also showcases the worst part of the Jail and how prisoners are affected. Kamalhasan's performance would be at Top notch and the portrayal of a caring Father would be astounding. Maestro Illayaraja would have given a haunting BGM. There are few stunt scenes and the one between Kamal and the Jailer before Interval is a Mass scene of Hero's career. This should be the first movie where the audience really starts hating the villains. Of course it ran over 200 Days and remember 150 days in several theaters.

A great family entertainer and very rare to see such films these days. Kamal's interpretation on Jayaram's activities is the highlight of the film especially the second half at its best. Ar Rahman's great songs with Kamalhasan and Jyotika stylish dance movements is a plus.The doctors pair Ramesh and Delhi Ganesh are fabulous. Kamal's regular style of dialogue delivery in srilankan accent and his stunt sequences especially the Mouse fight will be a delight. Watch it once with your entire family and kids.
