Excellent alternative to traditional Hollywood filmworks
2 March 2007
Tyler Perry has done it again. He has made a film for his audience to enjoy and for his investors to appreciate. he proves again that a real story can outdo special affects.

I am shocked at the negative backlash Tyler Perry productions have received. He emphasizes family values and faith in God that this country was founded on. He even makes us smile a bit while doing. If making wholesome, humorous and profitable movies is a crime, then what can we really say about our society.

I guess if you do not like movies with Christian undertones, go see hellrider.

Very interesting movie
7 November 2006
Having worked in US call centers for over ten years I was very excited and interested to see this movie for myself.

American Daylight strives to be a love story with intrigue. The lovers come from two very different worlds. Sujata or 'Sue' as she is known to the American callers, works in a call center in a new growing suburb of Delhi. Lawrence is portrayed as the rich American that has all needs paid for by the company. (This is a very common practice for relocated American center managers, but seems foreign to the Indian culture).

You'll be surprised to see how this story takes the characters through a web of plots, plans, deceit, misunderstandings, double-crosses and a clash of cultures.

American Daylight is a thriller through which emerges a love story of modern global times.

Great movie but not for everyone
9 December 2005
I loved this movie! I have it on VHS and DVD.

I always related to this movie. As an African American man who was actively pressuring the institution of "higher learning" that I was attending at the time to divest from South Africa, I felt like one of "Da fellas". My boys and I even went to see it in a raggedy Chevrolet.

I completely vibed with the whole frat versus GDI issue. As a student at a northern predominantly white institution some of the other issues around skin color were new to me.

A must see for any African American student attending or planning on attending college - especially if they plan on attending an Historically Black Colege or University.

Excruciatingly bad
6 October 2005
The idea of having the battle between the overbearing mother and future daughter-in-law was good. Adding the racial spin with a Latina was courageous. But then it was all down hill from there.

I knew it was a chick flick and was going because my girlfriend wanted to. Not that I hate chick flicks, I actually own a couple. But this was just plain bad. None of the characters were believable and I actually got physically ill watching it. I didn't eat any popcorn or anything, it was the movie.

I thought the JLo chick flicks like Maid in Manhattan (saw it on a plane) and The Wedding Planner (saw it on another flight) were palatable. But in comparison both deserved academy awards to this waste of celluloid.

If you are picking a DVD or movie on cable and you come across this one, treat it like cocaine and JUST SAY NO!
