I am an avid book reader, I love all of John Grisham novels. Runaway jury is my favorite novel from Mister Grisham. One thing I hate about the movie is that the widow the plaintiff was suing a Tobacco company. The book really delves deep into addiction and how tobacco companies market towards kids to get them hook for life. Cigarettes and addiction was a major part in the book and was replace with gun laws which is an ongoing boring problem that is Americans will never be able to fix. I do like the actor portraying Easter.. looks just as I imagined him to look. The actor play Fitz is also dead on.

If you go into the movie expecting a movie on the same caliber as Monster you will be very disappointed. Instead watch as if your watching a lifetime movie and try not to even identify the character as Aileen Wuornos .. if you watch with these two things in mind then the movie is actually good... not as good as a good lifetime movie but on the same level as those forgettable ones that lifetime pushes out every Saturday. The young lady playing Aileen looks and acts nothing like her, she also has this corny southern accent that sounds horrible. The daughter of millionaire acts as if she's in soap opera. I did however enjoy the older husband in the movie. He by far carry the movie and his acting was great! Was it a waste of an hour 1/2.. yea maybe but I bet you've seen worst.

Very boring

I've tried to like this show I really have but it's so boring! I really like love and marriage Huntsville but the DC version is just lame. I thought it would be interesting with Monique Samuels on the cast but nope she's boring as well. I never even finished season 1 fell asleep on every episode. Skipped to season 2 and still falling asleep. I think he needs new people the main lady that gets all the screen time don't know her name cause she has no story line is so boring I swear I've taken like 5 cat naps I think I'm on episode three trying to find something interesting but it's two ladies that look to be in their late 40's arguing about a rap song called "gutter Barbie's" . I'm not making this up try to watch the show these women are too old for this nonsense....man I really wanted to like this show.

I have no idea why such low ratings Emancipation was absolutely wonderful. A lot of people have complained about the movie being done in black and white, at first I was turned off by the coloring but after 20 minutes in you get used to it. The scenery was so beautiful in this movie. Will Smith did a wonderful job I cried when he gave his speech. Please don't be turned away by these bad reviews Emancipation is a must watch! The only negative is the long chase.. yeah we've seen this a lot with recent films about slavery. I wish the chase didn't take up an hour of the movie. Other than that Emancipation is the best movie I've seen in a long time. I truly believe this is Will Smith best movie. Good job Will!!

At first I wasn't going to watch Kindred because I usually never like any screen adaptations based on books I've read. However I really enjoyed this series I like it better than the book. To be honest Kindred the novel wasn't all that great, it was a short read and I feel the author didn't go deep enough in the story or the other characters. I like the fact that the screen writers added her mother in the old world, this makes it much more believable about Dana's eagerness to go back to all that misery. At first I didn't like Kevin in the series I didn't understand why the writers made him a one night stand/boyfriend but overtime you come to care for him. I really like the actress playing Dana she is just as I imagined Dana would look and act. I can't wait to season 2! I know in the book Kevin was left in the old world for five years he eventually heads north because he couldn't take life down south. I hope the series covers some of his transition there without Dana because Ms. Butler didn't address this in the book.

I love the scenery and the periodic wardrobe was awesome! I loved episode 1 and 2. I'm on episode 6 now it's getting better. I couldn't tell you what episode 3,4,5 was about kept falling asleep on them or getting easily distracted. I rewound so many times I eventually gave up and preceded to remain in episodes. Like a lot of reviewers has stated this series is way too long most of the episodes made absolutely no sense. Primes Underground Railroad is a little of a snore fest but the acting in it was pretty decent.. I guess I'll try to finish it. Maybe this is one of those movies where you have to read the book first to understand.

I'm not from the south or familiar with the goings on of strip clubs so I was surprised I liked this show. P valley is more than a series about strippers it's actually really deep. I love that this series gives each character a story plot. I love all the characters on the show. The soundtrack is fire! The pole dancing talents unbelievable! The only negative about the series is the female lead that owns the strip club has a terrible southern accent. I actually found out she's British so that explains it but I wish she would get her an acting coach to work on her accent because it's lol funny! The character. Cliff whom are is a co owner of the club is fantastic. He is so funny and carries this series. Overall this is a refreshing new show that is different from everything on television right now. Season 1 starts off slow bare with it because the season becomes good after the second episode.. season 2 fire!!
The best lifetime movie adaptation of a VC Andrews novel

Lifetime did their thang with Flowers in The Attic The Origin (Garden of Shadows). I have been a fan of VC Andrews since I was a young girl. I read Heaven in fourth grade probably shouldn't have been reading her novels at that age but this author introduced me to the world of reading and I've been hooked every since. I almost did cart wheels when I found out that Lifetime was doing films of all VC Andrews books, but sadly I was disappointed. The casteel series is my favorite series from VC Andrews and Lifetime butchered it! I don't think I even got through Heaven. I didn't bother to watch the rest of the series. One day I had the television on basically watching me while I was reading and Their version of Flowers in the Attic was playing and boy oh boy was it good!! I really enjoyed it almost better then the original. So I decided to watch the dollanger series.. petals in the wind was just bland nothing like the book. If there be thorns was awesome and they stuck to the book which was great. I haven't watched seeds of yesterday because I'm nervous it would be a waste of time because besides the casteels series, seeds of yesterday is my favorite book. It always makes me cry every time I read it and I know Lifetime is not going to be able to do seeds of yesterday justice. I will watch it in due time. Flowers in the Attic the Orgin I must say is the best lifetime adaptation of VC Andrews books. Lifetime must've put some money in this one. The settings, clothing, characters was all on point! Loving it!! The film adaption did add extra plots in the movie but they were actually entertaining and welcomed so I didn't mind. Thank you Lifetime for finally getting it right! Now can you please redo The Casteel series??? Seriously we owe Heaven more than what we were given.

The first episode I was a little turned off.. the laughing was too much, the chemistry wasn't flowing throughout the cast. The first episode was just overall corny. I'm now on episode five and I must say this show is hilarious. I was unsure of Kim Fields and Mike Epps together but they play well off each other and have great chemistry. Wanda Sykes is hilarious as Mike Epps brother n law. The kids are too cute and funny. I really like the half brother and his mother both are a welcome addition to the cast. Overall I am surprised that I like this show. I haven't watched a new sitcom in years because all the good ones left in the 90's. The UPSHAWS are definitely bringing back that 90's feel.

I just finished reading The Family Business books 1-3, I was really excited when a friend of mines told me that there was a mini series on BET based on the books. I was so excited to to binge watch but that is where the excitement ends. Like many reviewers have said the acting on this show is terrible. The sets are very cheap looking and whomever is behind the camera is horrible.. Paris is supposed to be this bad ass beautiful assassin but she's average looking at best and her actions scenes made me laugh out loud.. really the scene with her shooting a gun to save her brother Rio was hilarious. I almost feel sorry for the poor girl. I love Seeing Tami Roland in something other than reality television but she was definitely miscast as London. Come on now Tami looks like she's in her late 40's London in the book was in 20's. Her husband Harris is half Italian but looks full black on the series. Orlando what can I say the actor who's playing him is cringing to watch such a bad actor. I do like the mother chippy and the father LC both are playing their roles well. I also think that the casting of Rio and Junior were good fits. I'm finishing season 1 now, I'm hoping the show will get better the next two seasons overall this series could've been the next power or breaking bad the books were awesome but BET really messed this one up.

I have never been much of a Sandra Bullock fan until I watched bird box. I wasn't even going to watch unforgivable but my co workers kept talking about how great the movie was. Just finished watching and I am once again blown by Sandra Bullock! This was a great movie Sandra makes you feel every emotion of a lady that just did 20 years in prison. All of the supporting actors and actresses were great as well. I really loved how the scenery looked in the movie. Unforgivable might not be full of action but it is definitely one of those movies that make you think about life.

I don't know why the haves and the have nots has gotten so many bad reviews. It's a soap opera it's supposed to be extra and dramatic, not making sense a lot of times. That is what makes a good soap opera good! I love this show I wish we had this show when soaps were in. An all black soap in the 90's would've been awesome. Thank you Mr. Perry for bringing this soap to black audience's.

I've read a lot of negative reviews about this show the music, slow pace, etc.. please watch for yourself this show awesome. Forrest is amazing in his role as Mister Johnson. The character that plays Vincent is a show stopper. I have yet to find an actor as appealing as Denzel Washington as Malcolm X but the guy that is portraying Malcolm in God Father of Harlem is just as good if not even better than Denzel. Overall I'm very impressed with this series and can't wait till season 2.

The dress code for the time period of this show is spot on. In the past I have not been a fan of amazon originals but Them has been a decent watch with actresses and actors who really know how to act. This series really draws you in. Some reviewers have stated that the director took racism too far but I disagree. My family and I just moved into a neighborhood with all white neighbors we are black btw. We have been getting a lot of cold stares and complaints to HOA about things that are not even violations. For instance my teenage daughter parked her car next to curb in front of neighbor house the neighbor called the police on her. The police came out and let the neighbor know that street parking was public property. It was so embarrassing. Them was set in the 1950's where racisim was more in your face and accepted. Now its hidden but still there.

Dear lifetime please stop making movies, over the years your movies have gone from bad to worse. My favorite books since I was sixteen have been the casteel series by VC Andrews. I have always imagined what it would be like if this series was made into a movie.. I was so excited when I heard that my dream was coming true but hesitant because of course it was coming from lifetime. I gave up watching the series after dark angel they really screwed up that one and let's not begin to talk about heaven.. those two movies didn't even follow the book, come on lifetime you had a script why change it to some mediocre teenage adaptation the real heaven and dark angel was much deeper than portrayed in the films. Oh how I wish someone else would redo this series.. on to web of dreams: I can say that they followed the book more with this adaptation I was surprised.. however I still didn't like how the characters looked. Leigh looked nothing like Leigh she was suppose to be beautiful the young lady in the movie wasn't even average. Tony was too short but was good looking. Jillian was casted well she owned her part well. I had my 16 and 14 year old daughters watch the series because they have never read the books and both of my girls said that the series was boring and they were often confused.. this series has no depth please don't waste your time reread the series

I don't understand why Aladdin 2019 is receiving such negative reviews, my daughter and I love this morning. This was my daughters first time watching Aladdin and she really enjoyed it. We were both dancing and clapping throughout the movie. Princess jasmine is beautiful in this version as well as Aladdin. I think that both of the leads played their parts well and had amazing chemistry! I was really surprised how much I enjoyed Will Smith as the Genie. Thank you Disney for bringing back all my favorites as a child so I can share them with my girls!!
