Black Mirror: Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too (2019)
Hidden Meaning ...
People who are hating on this episode are missing the "scary" hidden meaning behind the episode. While it's a small part of the episode and laughable, the simple fact is that it CAN happen in the near future. The hidden meaning being that one day we WILL be able to download our entire brain into a machine or Ashley Too. Technology that could led to us having a back up US... if we die in a car crash, all of our thoughts, memories, and personalities could be in this A.I. Robot of ourselves. We can live forever in this Simulation type world. Also there was kind of a DeepFake meaning, that even if we die we can live forever... In our current state of technology we can literally make a holographic Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe, or whoever we want.. we can deep fake a face onto anyone, literally putting anyone on stage again or in a movie again. This episode showed that we can all LIVE FOREVER.
Happy Death Day 2 U (2019)
More Heart than Horror...
While there is only 20% horror, this movie will make you laugh and cry. There weren't many chase scenes or murders, but the movie is still good. I think it's more of a comedy/drama than horror/thriller. Butterfly Effect meets Scream? It's definitely different. If you want a feel good movie with a few murders, this is it. It reminds me of early 2000s teen comedies, like Clockstoppers or even that 80s movie with the popcorn filling the house with a touch of Goonies. I don't know, it's good but don't expect part one. It's Scream without a ghostface, just Sidney Prescott hanging out with Doc from Back to the Future.
Dating Around (2019)
It's all FAKE
No one else notice the background/extras never change? This guy would be, not only extremely full from all the food but DRUNK. All these dates and the people sitting behind them NEVER change??? Yet it shows him leave with every date. The show isn't set up like a round robin, he meets them at the bar, has dinner, then walks them home... YET the next date has the same diners in the background.
Holiday High School Reunion (2012)
What's wrong with her?!?
I have never spent an entire movie wondering WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE MAIN CHARACTER? She's creepy, a stalker, obsessed, delusional, desperate, insane, awkward, neurotic, and just sad. Why are you introducing yourself to the guy you dated all through high school? Why is this reunion never ending? It's Romy and Michelle meets Mean Girls meets THE WORST/STUPIEST Movie You've Ever Seen... I don't want her happy in the end bc SHES CRAZY!! Jonathan's character deserves better, not some girl obsessed with an ex that lives with his parents. On top of all that, she can't sing. Do NOT watch this trash. Also the flashback are HORRIBLE, you can try to make the cast look slightly younger or have different hair styles 10 yrs in the past. Ugh!! I really hated this movie.
Robin Hood (2018)
Movie Studio: How can we trash $100 million?
The movie NO ONE asked for, yet I still saw it. I'm so over these middle aged movies- from Robin Hood to King Arthur, if you want a flop- remake a middle aged "legend" that's been done to death. We get it, nothing new- same story, new characters, slightly different from the last Robin Hood movie that was slightly different from the movie before that one. If you want a middle aged movie that's great and makes money, write something NEW and FRESH. Something we haven't read, seen 2 cartoon versions of, and 5+ different film versions. If you liked the other versions of Robin Hood, knock yourself out- you'll love this one. I'm just over it, you can remake a movie that's 30 yrs old buuuut we don't need one every 5-10 yrs.
Camping (2018)
I love Juliette Lewis!!!
You gotta give it like 4 episodes to get going, being that they are only 30 minutes- that's pretty easy. I love all the different and wide variety of characters. It could almost be The Office of camping. Juliette Lewis is by far the best part of the show, she should be the hippie free loving character more often. She really is an amazing actress. Anyway, give the show a chance.
Halloween (2018)
Michael Myers is The Golden State Killer!
For anyone saying that Laurie wouldn't be as messed up as she is from just experiencing the horrors of part one... Let's take a real life murderer that was on the loose for 40+ years. In 1974, the Golden State Killer began his terror with raping women, then started raping women with their husband tied up, then started murdering people. In total The Golden State Killer raped over 50 women and murdered 13 people. The victims who were "only" raped dealt with trauma, fear, and ptsd. Couples divorced over it, and women looked over their shoulders for 40yrs, having guard dogs, guns, and alarm systems- all from just being raped. NOT TO DOWN PLAY RAPE, It's obviously a serious and very scary thing that happened in REAL LIFE, the Golden State Killer was caught in 2018- still able to walk and move around, even kill again if he pleased (like Michael). His victims were still living in fear. Point being time doesn't always heal scars- they are victims like Laurie, her character found 3 dead friends, got attacked, stabbed the attacker in the neck and eye, then watched him get shot multiple times and fall off a balcony and still survive. So her being extremely prepared, even if it was just one night of horror 40 years ago- is definitely believable. I wish they would of mentioned the Golden State Killer in interviews about dealing with fear for 40 yrs. The timeline is almost the same.
Ok- sooo beside that... Let's get to the point, Is the movie good? - yes Fun to Watch? - yes Scary? - yes... if you're a fan of all the sequels will I still like this one? -yes AND that's because a lot of the murders are mimicked after the sequels. From getting murdered in the same locations or in the same costume as a character from a previous movie. The old lady and neighbor is from part 2, the masks from part 3 are seen, there is an exact replica of the gas station from part 4, Tina's costume from part 5 is worn by the chubby friend, part 6 MAYBE when Laurie sees him in the window, part 7 (H20) the bathroom stall scene, part 8 im not sure because that one is horrible and I've only watched like once. lol .... without giving too much away part 5 & 6 are kinda the same as the twist in this movie. It's like all movies in one. I liked it. Ok- I'm rambling... The End.
Searching (2018)
Give it 45 minutes... then BAM!
I haven't felt so much emotion in one movie in a long time. It does take a while to get going but once it starts, it STARTS. Twists and turns, I thought I had it figured out- but no. BEST "Hand Held Camera" Type Movie of ALL TIME!!! I had serious doubt for the first half but omg was I glad I stuck around. It's a must watch- laugh, cry, and scream. I'm serious, any negative review didn't see the film or finish watching it. It's great- simply genius. Full body chills, filled my body twice accompanied by tears... were they happy tears or sad?? You gotta find out!!! Watch this movie!!!
