Tin Star (2017–2020)

I just can't put Tim Roth down!

Highly original and character led drama starring the great Tim Roth as a double edged character whose past catches up with him despite a move thousands of miles away with his family in order to start a new life.I won't say more than that or it would be a spoiler but this show is great with beautifully shot Canadian landscapes and some excellent acting.

It's only really let down by not taking a more of a Fargo type approach and sometimes trying too hard to find the right line between humour and drama. Otherwise a stomping good production that kept me glued to the end.

The Path (2016–2018)

Well made, well acted and well done!

I liked this show from the start because it's different from most TV fare and the acting is superb, especially Hugh Dancy as Cal. Now it's really growing on me as the hidden secrets of the cult leaders and followers start to slowly come out and the clash with the outside world becomes inevitable. Although some of the contextual scenes are over the top and do kind of spoil things sometimes, it's a small thing to complain about and the overall production values are great.

I'd recommend this show to anyone and the good news is that it seems Hulu and their US viewers agree as it's just been renewed for a second season!
