Intimate Lessons (1982)
First porno ever
Saw in 1984 on VHS. It's a goofy porno overall but it's enjoyable to watch on occasion. Danielle was absolutely gorgeous as were the rest of the girls. The plot is pretty thin but it has multiple scenes that are entertaining. Paul Thomas is at his best as Sir Aubrey and the rest of the cast perform their roles as "sexually frustrated bimbos" lol. It's too bad they didn't start a series of movies based on the character of Sir Aubrey it might have become popular. As it is it appears from the number of views it gets others enjoy 80s porn as much as I do. The golden age of porno industry. Good stuff.
Battle of the Bulge (1965)
I understand the intent of the filmmakers
People write reviews how inaccurate the movie is and yes they are correct. No actual historical figures are named in the film to be glorified as the heroes of the battle. Those pencil pusher generals (other than the great General Patton) weren't the true heroes the men in the front lines fighting were the real heroes. There's even a note at the end how they dedicated the movie to all the men who fought in the battle by generalizing the story and the action. General Eisenhower probably hated it because he wasn't represented in the movie with a huge movie star in his role as the one who won the battle with his brilliant decision making. Screw him, a dozen other generals could have won the battle too as the Germans were using up their last reserves and the end of their offensive was a foregone conclusion. The cast are good in their roles, the score is great, the battle scenes are at least fairly realistic and it's got good action. A bit slow in spots but otherwise it's entertaining as a war film and movie in general and that's what movies are supposed to do. It's not the first movie to take liberties with historical accuracy and it won't be the last. If you want historical accuracy watch the history channel.
