The Last Angry Man (1974 TV Movie)

What a letdown NOT a true remake
16 October 2009
How can you call this a remake when the first film takes place in 1959? When a TV crew has the good doctor on an early reality show. That's right no TV back then. True the names are the same and that bit with the sick teen. Pat Hingle is far from Jewish, I know this was a pilot for a series which think goodness didn't take place. That was the Depression looked more like the gay 90s? What a waste of some very fine talent. Pat Hingle, Sorrell Booke Penny Santon etc must have kept this off their resumes. The first film WAS Shot in Brooklyn and Manhattan true 1930s or 1890s or what ever time that was don't look like that anymore. Lastly that pretty awful theme music. A big fat ZERO

Adventures of Superman: The Deadly Rock (1956)

Why does the rock do what it does to Allen this isn't Smallville?
30 November 2008
This is a fun tale but as usual FULL of holes. Its never explained WHY the rock affects Allen in the first place. Another item why in the name of all thats super didn't the big guy used his heat vision to burn up the rock and not the weed burner?

One should note here that Robert Lowery was the second actor to play BATMAN in the movie serial "Batman and Robin" and many times in the comics Bats had super powers so in a way its was almost like having Bats and Super together. BTW on the old radio show Batman was on a few times

The name "Gary Allen" makes one think of "Barry Allen" who later on was the second FLASH

I liked it and I'm also a JS fan

First off it does help to understand the story if you know this is the sequel to: "The Other Side of Midnight", so the characters of Noel, Larry, Demirious, and Cathy all were in TOSOM, one different is while TOSOM (both book and film) takes place before during and after WWII and MOM the book takes place right after TOSOM, MOM the Mini takes place in the modern age.

Poor Jane must have gotten a neck pain having to look up at Ken Howard.

One thing I hated is what Melina did to herself to frame her husband, (For those who haven't seen MOM, I won't say what it was)

Our Greek friend is a first class baddie (Played by Omar Shariff), more so than Raf Vilone who played him in TOSOM.

Paul Sand is first class as the office odd ball.
