Nurse Jackie (2009–2015)

5 stars for the cast alone

Great cast and premise, and it kept me watching all episodes but i have several issues. I just binge watched it in May 2020 so I'm late in watching this. The show intrigued me because I like Edie Falco and Peter Facinelli. My fave character ended up being Zoey (Merritt). Although she is annoyingly cheery, she reminds me a lot of myself. From what all of my nurse friends say, the all love their job but they do complain about the CATTiness of the women nurses and the snobby doctors. So I think this show did a good job of portraying nurses. The cases did seem far fetched on here but it is a drama made for tv. I think cancer and flu patients being shown in every episode would get boring, lets be real. My problems: Jackie's short hair. I just couldn't stand her with a bob haircut. I'm glad it ended up growing out in later seasons. I also hated her popping those pills like it was nothing. No water or anything. Just chewing them or swallowing whole. It was just annoying and got old in every episode, almost. The only time i liked Jackie's character was when she was clean for that full year. Very frustrating everytime she started using again. Im sure in real life, nurses or doctors can't actually do their job while intoxicated all day. But again, its tv, sooooo.... Then there is the whole doctors and nurses getting it on in random rooms. Im certain that doesn't happen. They made me hate jackie but made me root for her the whole time. Jackie is so selfish. She had such a good life and loved her job so much and they made her choose drugs over her family and friends and its very frustrating. I know a lot of drug addicts who have became clean and stayed clean so i know it is possible. The lies, the stealing, manipulation and selfishness are all things that drug addicts do but its frustrating to watch. The season finale was blah for me and i feel like i didn't get any closure. They should have either had her die from it or become clean for good, but not open ended so we have to wonder this whole time if she survived the OD. It would have been nice for it to conclude with her becoming clean for good. That way it would give watchers hope that people can become clean no matter what f^<#ed up things they have done, but it was very unfulfilling. All in all it was ok but I only continued to watch to see how her life would turn out.

Cloak & Dagger (2018–2019)

Glad I let it play

The first few episodes of the first season was so slow that I almost gave up. It srated getting great mid season and then the finale....WOW, what a turn around. EXCELLENT season 1 finale. So much action, it was almost like a different show. Its on season 2, and season 2 is a million times better. Action packed and nail biting on every episode so far. If you got bored watching this at first, take my work for it that if you let it play on, you will come to love it. Based on the first few episodes, I would have rated it a 4, but since it got better and for how good the finale and season 2 is, i give it a 10+. The music in season 2 is great. Loving the soundtrack. The chemistry between the cast is electric. It's a DIFFERENT kind of show, which I like. I'm not a comic book fan at all so I don't buy into the whole Marvel/DC rival, as Im sure a lot of negative reviews are from DC fans who despise anything Marvel and are just trolling. I'm an unbiased reviewer. I don't even like comic book stuff and this show is one of my faves. That says a lot

The Passage (2019)

Great start

Didn't know what to Expect with this but I surprisingly enjoyed it. I can only judge based off of the first episode but so far so good. Mark Paul G. is such a great actor and definitely underrated. The chemistry with him and the girl is so great, as well as the other cast members. Very interesting and different than some of the shows that have been out. Fox is known for cancelling the best shows, so I hope this one sticks. Great storyline, cast, acting, entertaining. Hopefully it will get better with each episode like most shows do, but so far so good

Listen to the majority!

This show...wow. I've never watched a show before where I thought about it for days after. To the people saying its a teen love story....WRONG. They are all young adults for the most part, and there was nothing about LOVE...more like obsession. Its nice to know that this show has a lot of women that was part of making it. The producers, actresses, the writer of the book (Caroline), and other women production workers. They did a fantastic job of telling the story, of Joe, an awkward bookstore worker who seems to be a good person, but also portrays a creepy person. The show did an excellent job of making the audience hate him, but feel for him as well. Its unlike anything I have seen as far as television goes. People compare this to Dexter, but I really don't see the resemblance. Two completely different shows. If you watch the first episode, you will want to binge it afterwards. Pay no attention to the trolls rating it a 1 star. This is definitely a 10/10 well-done series with an amazing finale. The 8.1 rating and over 20,000 reviews it has currently shows you that a majority of people love it. Go with the majority!

Deadpool 2 (2018)

BRILLIANT!

First of all, I'm so glad I bought tix in advance. All showtimes were sold out days ago. The crowd was laughing hysterically the whole time. I was worried that it wouldn't hold up to the first one but I was wrong..its better, if even possible. NO ONE else could pull this role off other than Ryan R. This movie has everything you could think of and for the first time ever, I can't find a bad thing to say. If you liked the first one...you will LOVE this one.

Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance (2018 TV Movie)

Should have been a hallmark movie instead

I should start by saying that the Royal Family have never interested me but that didn't sway my opinion in any way. The movie was a sappy love story that would have been better suited for hallmark or romance channels, not lifetime. The movie was just boring to me. The actors that played the characters did a great job portraying Harry and Meghan and looked a lot like them, which is why I give it a 3.

Fuller House (2016–2020)

Way better than anticipated

Being an original Full house fan from the beginning, I was so excited for a remake but was a little worried on how they would pull it off. Well, They did! Very funny! I was also concerned on how it would work without having MICHELLE there, but as you watch, you totally forget about her altogether. The cast has not aged a bit and all of the characters are still the exact same as far as their personalities. They have more modern story lines now. There is something for children and adults in every episode. There aren't too many shows anymore with strong family values so I am so glad Fuller House is bringing that back. I cannot wait for season 2, which I think we will definitely get!
