Birdemic: Shock and Terror (2010)
Birds aren't real
Honestly you should just skip nearly half the movie and get to the part where the birds attack but after the 3rd-4th attack even that gets uninteresting
If you do watch it from the beginning you will get a few laughs at how bad it is, right from the start the intro is a view from inside a car where they loop the same song about 4 times, every time it started again I would laugh more
After that it will be funny how the camera often ends up capturing a random building for a few seconds because the actual target (character/car) gets lost behind it and the camera refuses to change perspective
You have to assume that a lot of things happen off-screen e.g this conversation: "Hey, I know a good restoraunt, wanna go?" "Nice, meet you there!" and I'm like "WHERE, WHEN? XD", the next scene is the guy waiting on the girl and me and my pals are commenting about how he's gonna wait for a long time considering they didn't even say when they're gonna meet, after they do meet the guy is jealous of the girl's pet cat
Honestly they should have gotten the cat to kill all the birds but maybe that would have been hard for her considering they're all goverment drones
The really bad part is the audio though... every time someone starts and stops speaking in a conversation the audio completely cuts off for a moment, as if the lines of each character were recorded separetely and then mixed together, this is funny for a moment but since the entire movie is like this it's increneibly annoying
Another bad thing is the lack of any transition from one scene to another (if you don't count some glitching)
The ending is truly the greatest plot twist in existence, the birds just get up and leave (and then fly in place for the duration of the credits)
Honestly if they opted for the shortest possible runtime this could have been a good laugh, but it's too long, even cutting off ~15 minutes from the first part to make it into a 90 min runtime would make this a better movie but no, we are aiming to be the worst movie ever here.
The Internship (2013)
Adventure at Google
This movie tries to be a lot of things, it's my second time watching it and I realized just how much it follows an already well known formula but there's also a lot of details here that an experienced IT employee can relate to... a self aware "how does this even relate to computing" joke about corporate team building activities, quite a few short technical discussions e.g text editors on linux.
Other than relatable IT humor, the characters are likeable and grow from barely having an understanding of what google is to knowing the intricaties of google products and learning more about technology and know how to use it to help people
p.s As an experienced developer, I wish interviews worked like they do in this movie haha.
Tumbbad (2018)
The scariest villain in modern cinematography
A beautiful performance by the actors, I haven't seen many bollywood movies but out of all the antagonists from horror movies I have seen, Hastar was definitely the scariest, in fact i'm not sure if you could classify Hastar as the villain, he is more of an antihero.
The main theme of the movie is how human greed keeps pushing us to want more than we realistically need, and the foolish humans in the movie kept taking from the imprisoned Hastar, his role was simply to punish the greedy humans which ultimately led to their demise. After all, Hastar's curse is a boon for them
It would be akin to Christians coming to hell to be with the imprisoned devil.
