Dirty Love (2005)
An ideal rental
Seeing Jenny McCarthy writing her own movie in order to get a lead role goes to show why she doesn't get big acting jobs these days. That being said, if you know what to expect out of "Dirty Love", it can be an ideal rental at best, if you like a crude yet true, in some part, romantic comedy.
Some of what the movie attempts to pass off as jokes can be so crude that even Deuce Bigelow: European Gigolo could turn it's nose up at it. From scenes featuring a bass (fish) in an inappropriate orfice to the grocery store scene. However, they'll still get a chuckle out of you if you're not picky and not demanding of sophistication. This movie completely lacks sophistication.
"TOUCH MY BAAAASSSS!" So, expecting a raunchy romantic comedy, it's easy to forgive it's setbacks, as it's a decent attempt. I'd recommend Michael Showalter's "The Baxter" over this film any day, but if you want a no-brainer, this is it. 6/10
Zombie Night (2003)
Should've stayed dead
This 'film' is absolute trash. I've seen amateurs in high school do a much better job then what these guys attempted in "Zombie Night." Shot on what looks like a cheap Circuit City hand camera, the 'actors' portrayed are flat in character, and the acting is so poor it could give people like Hulk Hogan hope for his acting career. The only good quality of this movie was it's gore effects, which were handled with enough care. However, this movie is merely just a vehicle for decent zombie gore, and not much else.
A bare bones plot, a script that could bore you to tears, combined with worthless acting and quality leads to a 2/10 in my book. You lose, good day sir!
