While music was her first love, a fascination with media led Christie into an award-winning radio career. Her first foray into screenwriting came through a random radio connection. That led to a produced screenwriter credit on the independent film, N-SECURE; released internationally through Twentieth Century Fox in 2010. While on hiatus from radio from 2009 to 2013, Christie completed a Bachelor of Science in Drama TV and Film from Oral Roberts University; pursued a MFA in Professional Screenwriting from National University; developed a screenwriting course; and launched her script consulting service, The Script Polishers.
An eternal lover of language, Christie, has to her credit a spoken word album, “From My Heart: The Collection of Inspirational Thoughts”; and a poetry book, “Soul Naked and Deeply Affected: Poetically Speaking.” Her romance with media continues, as she hosts ‘The Christie Taylor Show’; and assists others in developing traditional and digital media projects through Christie Taylor Consulting and RadioGyrl Media. Christie is looking forward to the production of her screenplay adaptation of Shelia Bell’s “What’s Blood Got To Do With It”; as well as seeing her own collection of scripts come to life on screen.
