He's definitely not your typical comedian. He delivers well thought out comedy. Tackling racism, societal constructs and other topics, Ramy will make you think and laugh at the same time. He did cross the line once or twice, but if you think about it, you'll understand where he's coming from. I enjoyed it immensely.

Fell in love with it

I won't compare this movie to any other sports-drama movie. It is neither Rocky nor The Wrestler. To do this movie justice, one must appreciate its beauty in all aspects. The acting is excellent; especially on Nick Nolte's part. The story progression was not cheesy. Everything was delivered in a subtle and seamless way. As the story goes on, you get to connect the dots and understand where every character is coming from. The direction is simply awesome. The ending might be considered cliche by some, but I find it different.

First off, the direction.. Just excellent.
This movie is one of a kind. I have not seen anything like it before and I actually doubt I will. The film was full of heart pounding, exciting and unpredictable moments. It was full of gore in a way that seemed quite realistic and it suited the overall plot and setting of the movie.
The acting.. I've seen better from Leo but he was really good. As for Tom Hardy, he was simply excellent.
The movie is about survival, love, struggle and revenge. Overall, I liked it very much and I would watch it again. I'm torn between giving it a 7 or an 8.

Star Wars was better off without this

I was raised watching these movies, so yes I am a Star Wars fanboy. I'm sorry to say this but the movie is very disappointing in so many ways. The movie does not feel like Star Wars in terms of, direction, character development and plot. It was cheesy and childish at times.
The characters are shallow and under developed. They left no gaps in my knowledge during the movie and it was too predictable. (except for one part which was a terrible surprise)
If they made this one to reach out to a younger or wider audience, then this is just dumb.
Overall, the movie is average. It has lots of laughs.. too much humor if I may say.
