Like a spy novel but true

Sounds like a really good spy novel but it's true. Martha Peterson's story got a lot of headline and front-page publicity when the Soviets published their version, and it wasn't until she retired that CIA allowed her to tell the truth. While in Moscow the KGB never watched her since they were fooled by her effective cover role as a "party girl." The interviews with KGB officers who were involved in her case at the time were a nice touch: you can feel the grudging admiration. One admits she put one of their goons in the hospital with a well- placed karate kick. After watching, I read Martha's book Widow Spy, which has a lot more details.
