Supercrap..this movie is supercrap

This one's actually getting a -10. Its so terrible I find myself laughing every now and then, but in a nervous tick kinda way...like its somehow changing me into a lesser human being whilst sucking my will to live! I got real excited when I saw the rating...and some of the cast like the lone survivor (the actual guy...not Mark Wahlberg) and Ron Jeremy but these are just crappy cameos and the rating has clearly been cooked by the indigogo crowdfunders along with patriotic ex-military vets who think they are funny.

Bad writing, bad acting, infantile plot and incredibly poor production quality...the kids in super8 where doing a better job. This looks like something I made for fun with my mates and my moms camcorder when I was 12.

It worries me to think at some point these guys where actually marines making life and death decisions on other peoples behalf but perhaps they should have stuck to that.

Do not watch...you have been warned...and I'm only 51minutes in. It's supercrap.

Remember (I) (2015)

Amazing

WW2 really sticks out in my mind. As far as I'm concerned that was the world gone mad. Hard to tell if we've progressed these days though, but I still don't know anyone personally today that would conform to that kind of madness.

This film explores so many different perspectives in such an interesting way, it's hard not to be overwhelmed with emotion that extends in every direction.

It's a truly amazing story, acted out brilliantly by the two seasoned lead actors, with a surprisingly suspenseful pace that keeps you hooked.

Congratulations to everyone involved and a special tip of the hat to Christopher Plummer, this is a masterpiece.

Sicario (2015)

You will be upset....in a good way

This is one of those films that will stand out forever for me... much like Traffic.

The reality of the drug problem is literally seared into your mind permanently. There are never happy endings at either side of the issue, for the trafficker's, users, distributors or authorities. I do not believe the situation can ever be resolved. Leagalising controlled substances would minimize the violence, but in the end, narcotics ruin families and destroy lives and lead to violence, it needs to stop. But it won't The major difference between this and traffic is the focus on cartels, and law enforcement, without the behind the scenes look at what narcotics trade brings to your home. This does not hurt the film at all.

The filming technique and direction create a visually immerse story that puts you right there...and the acting from all parties is next level.

If your in the mood for some sobering food for thought, you wont go wrong here. Be ready for some upsetting truths.

Im giving it 9 out of ten because I'm still upset, not with the film...more our stupidity and weakness as human beings.

Mississippi Grind (2015)

Not a terrible film, loved the soundtrack, enjoyed the actors performances, great locations but the story itself seems to meander at points to nowhere.

It's not as predictable as a lot of other films centralised around gambling (there are a few cliché moments, as to be expected). I do think its possible that our exposer to films revolving around this theme give you a feeling of despair throughout, dreading the outcome, and basically feeling uncomfortable and hopeless. But its not all cry's.

Character development was a little lacking, you like Curtis, and desperately want Gerry to do the right thing, but your never 100% sure why.

If your feeling serious, and are tired of most of the bubblegum films produced purely for box office ratings, its a great thought provoking offering. Worth a watch if your in the right frame of mind.
