Very smart

Very well built movie ... great cast A incredible structure that leads you, layers after layers, to the truth. You really need to be pervert or fan Of victimization to see racism in it: that's how some guys in Abidjan make money out of weak and desperate men and women on the other side of the world. This is not fictional. The way all the characters are linked is very well done even if some details are just not realistic but that's what cinema is about.

This movie is about loneliness, love, credulity, and chance.

And the end just close in a smart way the whole story. The ones who criticize the movie and accuse it of racism just did not get it. It's not a movie for simple minds.

French Romantic

People keep comparing Amélie with this film Both of them are touching movies, romantic and strong. A nice french Postcard from WW1, very poetic and extremely well produced.

Not that bad!

I don't understand why most of the people are so tough with this movie. Stone and Adjani make a nice duo as Signoret and Belmont did in the original. It's obviously not as good as the 1955 film, but still very watchable.
