One of the laziest Documentaries I have ever seen
30 November 2023
Did you watch the News while this event was happening? Good, because thats all thats talked about in this doc.

It's a regurgitation of everything you already know, with loads of speculation on the relationship of Gabby and Brian.

It's a terrible thing that happened for everyone involved, but the fact that this documentary takes the liberty to fill in gaps is wrong. They apply logic that is based on hindsight, evidence presented is minimal and once again everything you have already seen in the news.

Had it unveiled new info, more expert opinions, and maybe even a breakdown of events that help made sense, it probably could have flushed out more details not already known by the public.

This is a documentary meant to cash in on a social media hype and its as simple as that.

Halo (2022– )

Paramount... how dare you.

How dare you.

You obviously spent so much money and hyped it up so much and you ruined it in the very first episode. You took an IP that was literal gold, and you squandered it.

For those who dont know, HALO is based off of a video game that is literally over 20 years old at this point. It is a pivotal piece of gaming history and is monumental in how people view gaming AND the genre of science fiction.

HALO is to gaming as STAR WARS and STAR TREK is to cinema. It has a following, it has a culture, it has a lore and each is incredibly important to the story, but also the fans.

You disregarded all of that. I wanted to ignore the memes and the internet trolls who said that you purposely did this, but you proved them right.

I don't know if this was studio interference...343 studios trying to make this their own... or a selfish team of actors vying for attention... but you failed at adhering to the cardinal rule...

MASTER CHIEF IS TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS.

You DO NOT reveal his face. Master Chief is an enigma that for 20 years has yet to be fully understood. This show decided to take it upon itself to reveal the character within the first hour of a series, tarnishing the allure and respect towards an established norm which allowed for the expansion of imagination. I would not be surprised if the show made it a habit from here on out for him to remove his helmet every episode in attempt to build an association with THE Master Chief to Mr. Schreiber.

After the first episode, there are things that are genuinely good. The effects, are without a doubt top notch. The attention to detail in environment, the props, and costumes are great. Paramount obviously spared no expense in ensuring that this show would reflect the world that was built within the games.

With that said, it truly makes it that much more of a shame... I believe that this Intellectual property only had one chance at greatness and Paramount ruined that.

If you are a fan of the video games, do not watch. If you have never played any of the games, just know that this show obviously not related to the original source material.

To Paramount: you got one episode out of me... you will not receive a second.
