Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies (2023)

Pretty fun

The reviews bombing this show are basically all the same "whaaaaaah, where'd all my white people go?!" The songs are excellent, beautiful harmonies and great progression. A good vision and a proper representation of just how bad the 50's were for kids if you weren't one of the rich white kids in power.

Check it out for yourself, as for me, the original Grease is far down the list of musicals I enjoy watching. This is actually higher on the list for me because the characters aren't 1 dimensional caricatures of the product of their time. This has impact, it has relevance. Give it a shot and you'll be surprised.

The Rookie: Feds (2022–2023)

Got promise

While I don't think that it's as good as the flagship show I think it shows a lot of promise. The characters are fun and diverse and just great to watch! Considering this universe tries (and succeeds for the most part) to wade through the changing social and political landscape of today, it's refreshing to see buddy cop shows with a heart and a care to responsible policing. I'm rather excited to see more of this show and see how they grow the cast. I do think that it's more difficult to jump into if you didn't see the launchpad episodes in The Rookie it will be slightly disjointed at the start but just give them time to develop and grow. I'm in for this one.

The Orville: A Tale of Two Topas (2022) Season 3, Episode 5

Amazing episode

Possibly one of their best. I will be constantly amazed how the same reviews saying "go woke, go broke" or "why is there politics in here?" Had no problem when this subject was first broached in season 1. Other than the fact that it reinforced their bigoted point of view. This episode is wonderfully written and all of it pieces so well together. A highly emotional episode that is full of some of the best sci-fi acting from a "Star Trek" show to date.

Raya and the Last Dragon (2021)

A movie we all could use in 2021

With all of the discord and animosity over the last several years it's refreshing to see a movie about overcoming distrust and hatred to unite together once again. It's not perfect but it hits so many of the right notes. The characters are memorable and the voice acting on point. The animation is gorgeous! The Disney formula works yet again and we have a new princess because of it!
