Suits (2011–2019)

A generally brilliant and quirky show, that could have stopped just a bit earlier.

This is just going to be a quick one, but so far I've got to season 6 episode 10 of the show, watching it non-stop and I think it should have just stopped there. That was the perfect ending for me. Still, it has been a brilliant show and I look forward to seeing where it goes. My only real issue comes with how some of it can be slightly repetitive, particularly towards the beginning of the show with the '1 case per episode' formula, but it was still new then and so it is more excusable there anyway, and as it has progressed much larger and long spanning arcs have been created.

A surprisingly fun film with numerous great performances
13 March 2017
I first watched this film in an English lesson, when learning about the play/book it was based upon. I was immediately surprised to see such a famous cast including such big names and Kenneth Branagh, Denzel Washington, Keanu Reaves and Kate Beckinsale, along with other successful actors in smaller roles like Brian Blessed and Michael Keaton. In addition to this, this fantastic cast was not at all wasted, in that they performed their lines brilliantly and really helped you to enjoy each unique character. The writing and cinematography was also very impressive, though if i had one particular critique it would be how they often just straight-out repeated lines from the play, even going as far as to mimic entire scenes, word-for-word. This wouldn't be too much of a problem, and instead help develop the environment, had the lines been less excessive, and not sometimes just feel out of place, like they were saying them simply for the sake of it. However, in general the film was still very enjoyable and a fun watch if you are looking for an interesting film with plenty of comedy interesting, well performed characters.

Worth a watch if you haven't already, certainly better than some people say.
7 June 2016
I watched this film few days after it came out, the very first reviews (early screenings) i saw were positive as i had hope, but as soon as it came out in cinemas around the world, it was getting negative reviews, i went in, therefore, thinking it would be terrible. Fortunately for me it exceeded my expectations. It wasn't a great movie by any means, but it was still entertaining.

The acting was mostly good, i loved the fight scenes and action. The choreography for Batman was much more impressive than the dark knight trilogy, and although one particular scene felt a bit too SGI driven, although despite that the SGI that drove it was still very good. I think where it really falls is at the story and pacing, some parts seemed a bit unnecessary and boring. in the first act it perhaps could've lost about ten minutes there and would've been much more fluent. Certain ways of conveying information could have been done better and Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg, wasn't a great casting choice or direction for the character in general.

In conclusion i think the overall story could have been done much better, along with certain characters and their portrayals. But it certainly had very good elements and makes for a good watch and use of your time.
