Vaalu (2015)
The reason why I am writing this review
Well if there was anything lesser than 1/10 that is what this movie deserves.
I have no personal animosity with Silambarasan, but I have this feeling that he chooses story lines that are absolutely preposterous. All his efforts are in vain when he does this and this movie is a classic example of how the story goes off in tangents every 15 minutes. The worst part is none of it evokes an emphatic sense in the viewer. A doting father who absolutely supports his son in anything and everything and the lead up to that ends in a scene when Silambarasan throws away in respect to his father's love. A short time after he is seen drinking before plotting on how to win his love's heart. That was just an example of how there are so many loose ends that this looks like an unknit bundle of threads, than a beautiful fabric.
Silambarasan, I am really sorry for you. You have gone through a lot, but you still do not seem to work hard to gain people's adulation. You seem to wanting your way up to glory with no efforts. There are others who are lucky and manage to achieve that, but please know that you are not one of them. So please work hard on your next script and choose a meaty story.
For those of you who plan to watch this movie, please do so with absolutely no expectations - horrible songs, mistimed and hollow humor (Santhanam's best writers seemed to have deserted him), a villain who ends up being reasonable and is 'reformed' by a few words from the hero, a leading lady who as always looks bloated and inexpressive (carrying a rabbit on a bus? Seriously??How hare brained!) and a supporting cast who felt that if they did not agree to act, Silambarasan was going to cry at their doorsteps - this is what you would get from this movie.
