Star Trek: Picard (2020)
They could not have done it better in season 3
After not so interesting first two season, the third season was simply fantastic specially for older generation Star Trek fans. As a fan of Star Trek the Next Generation seeing all the main actors from the Next Generation series was very nostalgic and I loved it. The story was great and very engaging and it put an end to one of the unfinished chapters of Star Trek saga, the Borg. They could not have done it better and it could be a great ending for Captain Jean Luc Picard. I hope a new series will be on the works with
Jerry Ryan as the captain of the new Enterprise and involving Picard's son. Thank you for all involved for this 3rd season.
The Offer (2022)
Great storytelling. Very enjoyable.
I gave this series a 9 because I never give a 10 to anything but this one came very close. As a movie fan and a movie buff I really enjoyed The Offer from start to finish. Great storytelling and great acting by all especially Mathew Goode and Giovanni Ribisi. Miles Teller had a great presence. You can feel the process of what went on and what problems were encounteted to make the great Godfather movie. I can not believe this series did not get any Emmy nominations. I can only say shame on them.
Alafzar (2022)
Excellent movie, incredible acting
The story was great and the acting was very good by all principal actors. From the first minute to the last the pulse of the movie was great which is rare for an Iranian movie with no wasted time. A great achivement for a first time director. I did not notice the passage of time while watching it in a movie theater which is a great sign.
The French Dispatch of the Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun (2021)
Visually interessting but arty and rather boring
The movie is visually interesting and very cleverly filmed but it is like an art movie and rather boring. If you liked The Grand Budapest hotel you will like this one too otherwise don't bother.
Les demoiselles de Rochefort (1967)
A feel good movie
I am very much a movie buff but I had never heard of this movie until I heard that it was one of the movies that had inspired la La Land.I just watched it and it kept me in my sit for the whole 2 hours and 4minutes of it. I really enjoyed the Micheal Legrand music and it's plot and stories. It is a feel good movie that lifts your spirit. I believe most of the singing in the movie was dubbed but you don't notice it that much. It was also interesting to see movie legend Gene Kelly in a French movie.I recommend this movie to all those who like musical cinema. I don't speak French and saw it with English subtitles but surprisingly it did not make my experience any less enjoyable. Anybody that enjoys this movie should also watch the former movie of director Jacques Demy "The Umbrellas of Cherbourge".
