Waste of Time

With so many other Hulu shows to choose from "Under the Banner of Heaven" is just more misogyny and violence against women and the desire to keep women as second class citizens. Enough!

Great acting by Andrew Garfield as the wimpy detective handcuffed to his faith. Gil Birmingham stands out as the fierce detective who knows he is the outsider. This is based on true events, not so shocking anymore considering this topic "men killing innocence" has been done over and over and over. Are there not better stories to tell?

Oscar? Emmy?

I am only reminded of Lenny Bruce and his "Lone Ranger/Tonto" animated short. I only ask Oscar? Emmy? Because I do no know what the creators of this master piece are eligible for. #Genius.

Second Look

For the New Year I am doing my best to reduce my intake of the the nightly news. Instead I watch movies, I really liked this movie when it came out initially. Honestly, I think Seth and James should create a sequel and track down DJT for an "Interview Deux". The dialogue is clever and DeFranco is outstanding as a clueless talk show host! It is incredible how controversial this was when it was released and to think "POTUS" is planning his second meeting with Un in February! Brilliant, fun film!!
