Enjoyable as an adult
27 October 2020
I watched the first as a child and I loved it, watching this version as an adult was just as good and even better in some parts. I was not disappointed nor did I feel it was a waste of my time watching. It was a refreshing remake of an old classic with some very good actors.

Excellent acting and engaging story line

Matthew Modine did an excellent portrayal of super lawyer Michael Trainer, you felt his characters pains, joys and frustration. Louis Gossett Jnr is always a pleasure to watch on screen and I'd pay good money to see him continue a role as a judge.I haven't seen Shane Paul McGhie other works however I will be keeping an eye out as his performance in this was outstanding, he was able to convey the conflicting feelings of his characters victimisation. Julie Benz's acting was the cherry on top of this awesome ensemble.

An excellent portrayal of both sides of a story
2 November 2019
Each character excellently delivered their part as well as a profound message. It is remarkable how so many sides of the story were told in this tale with only 5 characters and one room. It must be noted this is not a one-sided story and you must watch to the end to fully understand the message.

The attitudes, the past hurts, the present harms, perceptions, presumptions, you add in a broken family and then you top it with any parent's worse nightmare and you have a visual and auditory feast of emotions rolled into one movie.

Real world issues with a superhero twist
5 October 2019
I am absolutely loving this series, you have the usual superpower elements of a drama consisting of lovable and quirky heroes, villains in the form of both super powerful and plain old company with power and the struggles between them. Yet among all this you have beautiful, poignant bursts of reality that highlight humanity and the effort it takes to exist which is very rare to seen on screen in this genre. Where they discuss real life events such as being judged on your colour, being a single parent, looking for work, coping with loss etc. These were just a few of the things incorporated into this story line that changed it from just another superhero story and into something more realistic and human which for me made the story resonate more deeply.

Tragic, magical and traumatising
14 September 2019
Master storytelling, beautiful infusion of magical elements within the sorrowful dark fairy tale which is these children's reality. I don't think I blinked the entire movie. I can see why it won so many awards, the cast, crew and creators done an excellent job. This is a must see movie. A movie that highlights the horror that some children in this world are experiencing at this moment in time.

Absolutely heart breaking
20 August 2019
Some of the scenes could have done with just a touch more editing and lighting however the cast and crew done an excellent job of emphasizing the harm and hurt within the story without the mood enhancers. When a movie makes you feel a whole array of emotions you know it is good. I could feel the pain soul deep.I look forward to seeing you all in more works in the future.

Ashton Sanders alone is worth watching this for.
11 April 2019
You know a movie does a good job when it disturbs you days afterwards. The tension builds slowly until breaking point and then sadly it just kinds of peters off in a totally different direction however Ashton's performance from beginning to end was excellent. The whole cast bought depth to their characters, no matter small or big their onscreen time was. The scenery was really well thought out and it draws you in. The settings felt intimate and it exemplified the rawness of each character.

Excellent use of technology in a Drama
7 September 2018
Beautifully written script with a relevant digital component and some excellent acting from John Cho makes this a must see movie. Tech was wonderfully incorporated in the story and you couldn't help visualising how you as a parent use these devices, apps to maintain your life and to some aspect your children's; and how handy these tools can be when everything falls apart.

I loved this movie
3 July 2017
Me and my son love Transformers. We loved this movie. So many people were disappointed and are complaining about the story line but we loved the Transformers. Actually we would prefer movies with just Transformers in them like the cartoons. Please don't take it so seriously and turn it into something it is not and just enjoy the scenery and of course the Transformers.
