The best ever
26 August 2021
This is the gold standard for sports talk radio. Dan and the Dannettes are awesome. They have substance to everything the talk about, even when it's off topic. There is rarely wasted air time like most talk shows scrambling for conversation/filler content. Dan is honest and doesn't change his delivery to fit the popular opinion. He tells you what he thinks. He stays out of politics and other polarizing topics, which is rare these days.

The Rich Eisen Show (2014– )

The guy you hate in real life
26 August 2021
You know the guy who pretends to know it all but some how has zero self confidence? We all know that annoying guy. The radio version of this is Rich Eisen. He loves to tell you what he knows or thinks he knows. He loves to shove his opionion down your throat and smugly chuckle about those who disagree with his opinion. But this doesn't come from confidence, it comes from a lack there of. If you listen to him ramble long enough, you will begin to understand he bumbles, rambles, laughs, jokes etc to cover up for a lack of substance and confidence. Listen to him ask a question.. "So how do you think the schedule will affect the start of the season..will it affect it.. do you see it having an impact.... coach.. coach John smith.." rambling, can't handle silence, can't let his question go without multiple rephrases and can't stand the half second of silence for the response so always injects the interviewee's name in a fading fashion as the interviewee tries to figure out when to talk. Him and his show cohorts love to laugh and smugly chuckle about how smart and woke they are.. but it's all a facade. Behind the camera are a handful of dudes in an echo chamber that are being boosted up by the rich eisen sports center name.

No energy no chemistry. Change the station
27 September 2020
The only thing worse than listening to these guys on the radio is watching them on TV. The lack of energy oozes through the tv. I can't tell which of the 3 wants to be there the least. Is it a "who can talk the slowest" show? Or is there a "who can talk the most monotone" challenge? There is no reason to listen to this show. How the %&%¥ did this show get approved by espn executives?

They don't have energy. They don't have fresh takes. They don't give you anything beyond what you've probably already heard or read. These guys would be an average radio show in a local/regional market. I, like many others here, have moved to fox sports radio or will listen to an old podcast over espn radio.
