Another french masterpiece by Jean Piere Jeunet, before watching the movie i never thought this guy was really that good, and thought that Amelie was just one good movie and that's it. But now, this movie totally proved me wrong. It's one of those movies you can't define or put in a certain category, is it romantic? drama? war? thriller? political? it's all these.
Like Amelie, excellent directing comes in fast visual weird -sometimes funny- shots that takes place during imagination or remembering. And also fantasy shots like environmental changes or winds in critical parts in conversations, and a lot lot more that will take way more lines to write. What makes it even better is that it's one of those movies where there are a lot of pieces scattered and suddenly they all start to fall into the right place. If you have any doubts about it go ahead and watch it! it's totally worth it. From now on i will look out for Jean Piere's work.
