A Series of Events in Belfast.
6 March 2022
Expecting to see a vivid story? To be taken into the troubling events of Ireland in the early seventees? To be served with a plot that leaves you wonderd yet satisfied?

Don't bother this one. Better leave it and watch another movie as there are enough other great movies around.

Kenneth Branagh has chosen the boy Billy as a point the story evolves around and that just the way people should be watching the movie. It is also the problem. After a mind blowing opening with some awsome shots of Belfast nowadays and a horrific, warlike invation of a gentle street in Belfast 1969 the story isn't moving at all for like two hours.

Kudos for Carián Hinds who plays the Granddad in the movie. He is the heart of the movie in which viewers can place themselves.

Not the best movie of the year.

Up to date series!

With all the humor, teenage sorrow and heist like action aside. This is a perfect insight of life nowadays.

Perfect timing and well acted the show never dulls out.

Hope there's more to come!

Good pace and a refreshing take at the genre!

Started with this one at Netflix because of Covid ofcourse. I didn't regret it. If you like shows with a sparkling opening, a original set of characters and a very very VERY nasty villain, this is yours to be consumed. Forget the minor time errors and a few plotholes, this is a admirable and sometimes breathtaking trip. Have fun!

Very Bingeable!

So, for the first time in my life I watched and liked a Japanese show. Born out of boredom moretheless I watched it almost in a day. The story of this coming of age/action packed/slasher series centers around Arisu. A young man who's done nothing noteble with his life sofar. Gaming is what he does. As on one good day the world as he knows it stops to make place for a surreal one which is almost empty. In order to stay alive he and his friends must participate in several death or alive games. As the story unfolds the viewers get not only to see a lot of action, but also interesting background about the key players. Once you get over the language (here in Holland everything is subtiteld) you will find out that this is a very well written and acted series. It is fun to watch and you will be as curious for the next season as I am. Highly entertaining!

One man's Ocean Eleven!

A wonderfull heist movie cut up in episodes with strong characters en intelligent scriptwriters. If you wonder if it's all probably or realistic then don't watch. Otherwise, have a nice trip. Omar Sy is great and from my understanding he only wanted to do this show if he was offererd the part of Lupin. It shows.

It is getting better!
16 January 2021
After season one has ended I doubted to binge the second one for a while. But when I started I found out it was much better then the first season! The acting was better, the story was compelling and the cinematography was simply cinematic. I wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that there were less dutch people involved. So, there's one mediocre first season followd by a great second one! Get to see them!

Jodie, Kim, Sandra and Fiona.

What else can I say that's isn't said already. These four actors make this series one of a kind. A big round of applause for the writers who are certainly not afraid of taboos. It is a thrilling laugh. A very original, well acted love story on a backdrop of international crime. If you haven't allready......GO SEE IT!!

Wonderfull acting, gripping story lines!

Yes, the first episode was not that well, but then! As the story keeps unfolding it's little lies we, the audience are growing more and more addicted to the show. For me this is an example of how well script and actors are combined in the best way possible. After watching it, it will ponder your mind for several days for sure.

Great Effects but a predictable story!
8 December 2018
Yes, I was, like alot of you waiting on this film to show up en cinemas this year. Yes, I love all the work of Peter Jackson. Yes, I like fanatsy very much. So, how can I be a little bit disappointed. Sure, the effects are amazing, but there's so very much to see that wants you to really See! it. It's happening too fast. As a viewer you barely get a good chance to live the life of the people inhabeting this beutifully created world. Not a big hit for Jackson this time. Sorry.
