Beautiful soulful!
7 January 2024
Well written, beautifully acted by all actors (especially Winston Duke and Zazie Beetz). Had tears in my eyes that touched my soul. Thankyou for this wonderful film. It's so nice to see there's still some artistically creative film makers out there producing these kind of films. There wasn't a part of the whole process that made me over think or wish anything was done different. I'm purposefully not reading any of the other reviews as I'm pretty sure there'll be some negativity of what they thought should have happened. Just remember that the concept is about the beauty of our souls, celebrate it.

Very Original
21 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It's so good to see something original being created. It's been a long time! This is such a great series. There's so much tension and suspense created 'because' of the lack of live action.

I don't agree with the naysaying reviewers, the visuals go hand in hand with the audio. Without it, you wouldn't have the same amount of tension. It's extremely lame and lazy to critique this by saying it's a glorified audiobook, clearly these people aren't open minded enough to enjoy something original.

Deserves the full ten stars I've given it!

Bad vs Bad doesn't = Good
20 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
As with the other reviewers who have 1 starred this, I'm equally disappointed with this film. Don't get me wrong, the actors and actresses are amazing in their roles and don't falter with the task they have been given but the storyline is just awful and badly executed. This is clearly meant to be two bad characters fighting it out which, could've been a really interesting concept if done properly. However, from the start, I hated the main character and continued to hate her unscrupulous actions throughout. No matter what she did, she never seemed to redeem herself and only made me want her to get some sort of come uppence. However, even after given a second chance to better her outcome she decides to continue justifying why she's a terrible person. Leaving the message to the viewers that, hey everyone, it's ok to be bad! You still get what you want! Sadly, the last few minutes of this film are probably the best of all of it.

Managed to get to 80 minutes before switching off...
5 June 2020
Like all the other reviewers here, this was so dire that I had to write a warning to anyone considering watching this. Please don't.

Amazingly, I manage to get to 80 miinutes out of 140 minutes before I couldn't stand anymore. My brain was shouting at me to stop hurting it.

By far the worst of this movie is that it drags....out....wayyyyyy....tooooo.....long! Completely unecessary considering the scenes that do drag are unimportant to the storyline. The characters don't bond and the antagonist Brick shows no sign of proving to us that he is worth any consideration.

Real shame as the concept could have been actually good if they'd used the two and half hours more appropriately instead of wasting our time with pointless and uninteresting scenes.

Didn't even get halfway through...
18 May 2020
From the first scene, the male actor begins talking and I'm optimistically thinking, maybe it's one of those films where the actors become more confident with the more scenes they do. But no...if anything, they get worse, if that's at all possible. There is no chemistry between the two main characters and like several reviewers have mentioned, they are supposed to be married. Plus he constantly has a berating, sarcastic tone when he talks.

I'm sure that maybe the script might actually be quite good but for the fact that it's so painful to watch, I had to stop watching less than halfway through!

Probably the worst movie I've ever seen!
