This show is not a REMAKE! It's just part of the Resident Evil Universe. I'm not sure what's so hard to understand about that. I actually liked the series and hope they do a season 2... Per usual... folks are just mad be cause they have POC leads. HARD EYEROLL... good grief. Get OVER yourselves. It is NOT Alice's story.

This movie is funny from the beginning to the end. The plot was good and the time travel line they created made sense. It didn't feel all over the place like some movies. Ryan Reynolds delivered for sure.

The premise of this movie is known well through out the black community. It's missing something and I don't know what. I really wish they hadn't shot it in black and white. It didn't flow well in this picture. Great acting from Tessa and Ruth.

Love Hard (2021)

Surprisingly Good

I wasn't expecting much out of this but I was pleasantly surprised. Storyline was put together well. Now do the leads have a lot of "romantic chemistry" lol no BUTTT the story, acting and the dive into online dating well makes up for it. It's setup to have a good storyline for a sequel. I would recommend.

The Harder They Fall (2021)

Impressive, beautifully shot.

This was fun to watch. I enjoyed the film, the storyline, and the characters. It's definitely a classic western film in a lot of ways. The soundtrack gives you a African American church feel. I'll be watching it again. I could see "others" not liking it because it's an all black cast and when the background characters (Non-POC) are in the front, they're mostly scared or typical angry that they're interacting with black people. This will probably have them complaining and leaving bad reviews. Ignore them and watch it.

Dave Chappelle: The Closer (2021 TV Special)

I loved this special. As a blk female member of the lgbtq community he spoke all facts. Especially about palm colored members playing their Trump card. Calling the police etc... blk folks would never.

Vivo (I) (2021)

Good movie, great songs and storyline

My kids love the music in this movie. I mean love it. Once again Lin has taken over my household. His music has a way of appealing to kids and adults. I'm impressed whenever I can get my 15 month old, 3 year old, husband and myself all to agree on something to watch and actually enjoy it. His lyrics are catchy and performed well. The story line actually had some effort put into it. Kind of gave me COCO feels (not as good as Coco but still a good family movie).

The Ice Road (2021)

Decent movie

This isn't great but it's not terrible either. It's am OK movie with a decent plot. Yes it's pretty predictable but I enjoyed the scenes of them driving on ice. Not sure why they killed Lawrence Fishburn off so early.

Tiny Pretty Things (2020)

Finally something with some representation

This is a decent show with a decent storyline. It's nice to see a ballerina of color. Several different types of relationships. The dancing is well done. This is one of the shows that may have several seasons. Pretty sure this will be renewed.

Listen I love this storyline. I like Tariq and his character and the overall plot to the show. It's a solid show with a solid premise. I'm hooked. I know some people don't like it because they just don't like Tariq's character. I get that. I felt the exact same way about Ghost's character. He annoyed me to high heaven. Other characters kept me interested and now with this spinoff I'm loving it.

With that being said... The newer characters, the college professors, I feel like they get way too much individual screen time and they lady is annoying.

I really enjoyed this adaptation. I think 10 episodes would have rounded out the season better. Looking forward to season two. I also thought the casting was very good.

When They See Us (2019)

This is Ava's best work to date. It is such a important story. Watch this with your children. We have to know how to interact work police that want nothing more than to harm us.
