Anyone But You (2023)

Could have been better with some effort

First off , Glen Powell is a really good romantic lead . He nailed his part . I loved him in the Netflix spy movie too. I hope we see a lot more of him in these kind of roles.

It's weird to see Dermot Mulrony playing a dad . He is the sexiest thing in the movie. He still has it.

The lead actress( sorry don't know her name) would not have been my first choice but she was okay. They seemed to use her boobs as a distraction from her less than stellar acting.

I didn't think the lesbian couple had any chemistry at all. I just couldn't watch their scenes without thinking of someone else who would have been better in the parts.

But it was a cute movie, thanks to Glen . He's becoming one of my favorites .

Asteroid City (2023)

I'll give it a 2 just because I wanted to see all the movie stars who were in this movie. I did not understand one minute of it, so there won't be a spoiler . I just wonder if the actors even got it.

It was stupid.

Well I have to go on until I have enough characters. I did like the part when the alien first showed up. It was cute.

Don't waste your time. Watch any other movie but this one . No wonder it was free .

Just 170 more characters.

I think I'll try Babylon because I like Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt. If it stinks as bad as Asteroid City, I will let you all know.

Troppo (2022– )

Good story , great actors .

I came here for Peta Wilson, as I'm a huge La Femme Nikita fan. However, she is a supporting role, not much screen time. Peta is still so naturally beautiful and still had that sexy voice.

I haven't seen Thomas Jane act much ,but he was very good in the role of a wrongly accused detective as was Nicole Camoun. I couldn't wait to see how their stories unfolded .

Being set in Australia was perfect for the storyline. Crocodiles and deadly snakes combined with the characters' Aussie accents made it very enjoyable.

I like how it makes you wonder what will happen next. Unlike many crime shows, you really don't know who could have done the deed.

Falling for Christmas (2022)

I've Missed Lindsay!

Yes, I wanted to see this because of Lindsay Lohan. She was a terrific actress and I always loved her movies as a young girl actress.

This was the perfect movie for her comeback. She looked beautiful and she has still got that special something.

I liked the plot, and seeing Chord Overstreet as her love interest was also great casting. Now the actor playing Tad was my favorite part. He brought the right amount of humor to the movie .

It was a beautiful location, the story was heartwarming and I think it'll surprise many people if they too ignore the low rating.

Stay until the end for the bloopers.

Lost interest early

I was excited to watch as I am a big Ryan Murphy fan and the first couple of episodes kept my attention . But by the third I began to find my attention wandering to other things. Maybe I just was not in the right frame of mind to really sit down and watch and perhaps I'll try another time.

Bobby Cannavale gave a great performance and carried the show and Naomi Watts never disappoints. Margo Martindale should have been in there longer , and I was pumped to see Mia Farrow! Last but certainly not least, was Jennifer Coolidge. Forget everything you've seen her in before because she was a great surprise .

Top notch actors, but just didn't keep me interested enough.

Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)

Too much of a comedy

I really thought it would be better because I love Chris Hemsworth as Thor. I am not a fan of the comedic aspect taking up so much of the movie. The entire Zeus part was so cringe-worthy.

Christian Bale was epic, totally my favorite part of this movie.

Thor movies lately have become more of "let's see how many laughs we can get .

It has some great moments , but it was just too many scenes trying for laughs.

3 stars , only because I love Nora Roberts and I'm hoping another movie will be done. But Lord , the acting and directing was awful. Alyssa Milano , was disappointing, but her assets were the main attraction.

Modern Family (2009–2020)

Modern Family is a winner! It's so funny, the cast is perfect and it is refreshing to say the least. 3 families, all related, but so different. You can't help laughing at the craziness that comes from such ordinary situations. Jay Pritchett, played by Ed O'Neill, is so likable as the patriarch who is married to a much younger Gloria,( Sophia Vergara, whom I love)! Her son Manny ( a very talented Rico Rodriguez)is so amusing. The daughter, Claire is played by Julie Bowen ( previously on Ed) married to Phil (the hilarious Ty Burrell).They have three children. The last family member is gay son Mitchell and his partner Cameron (actors Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet) who have recently adopted a daughter Lily. The stories are ordinary stories but with such a super cast and superb writing, they seem so fresh!

Sin City (2005)

You have to watch this movie.I am not a comic book fan, so I had no idea what to expect before watching. I rented it because of all of the stars who appear in it and I had read the reviews which were all good. This movie was awesome. Its not like watching a movie at all. There is a lot of gory scenes, but they are done so creatively, you don't really get grossed out. The stories are woven together and unfold slowly, so you can take it all in.I enjoyed all of the actors. My favorite was definitely Mickey Rourke. He was great. I'm a huge Bruce Willis fan, and I think Clive Davis is HOT! Elijah Woods does a very good job as a weird-o killer. There's a lot of other actors you will enjoy too. The women are good, but it seems that the men make the movie what it is. There is one woman, and I forget her name, that is the coolest woman in the movie. She never says a word throughout the whole movie, but you will know who I'm talking about as soon as you watch it. She has a great part! I didn't care much for Alexis Bledel in her part. I can't see her as a prostitute and to me she didn't sell her part. Sorry. I won't name all of the names, but it is definitely packed with stars! Let me say, after renting it, I will buy my own copy for sure.

I saw this movie a couple of years ago and liked it immediately. Its funny, sad, sweet and has a terrific ending. The cast is very likable, with a lot of familiar faces you will recognize. I really like the lead actress. She is one of my new favorite actresses. Monica Potter is a blond Julia Roberts. She even sounds like her.

But Gael Garcia Bernal is definitely the reason I rewatched it! He's is so scrumptious to look at and I thought he was very good in the movie. It is good all the way through and I would definitely recommend it. In fact, I would like to see it again. I will probably buy it for my own collection.

A Slipping-Down Life (1999)

not a bad movie, but not a great one either

I just happened to catch this movie on satellite. I like both Lili Taylor and Guy Pearce, so I sat down to watch it. I thought Guy was very hot in this movie. He is a good actor and I didn't know he was a musician until I saw it.As for the movie, I didn't know anything about it or the book, before watching. It was kinda off the wall, but what kept me watching was the songs. Guy Pearce has a sexy voice and can sing! So all in all, I wasn't disappointed. The satellite went out for about 20 minutes, so I missed whatever happened from where he kisses her for the first time until his mom and that pr*ck were eating dinner with Evie, Drum and her dad. I'll probably try to watch it again.I don't really like Shawnee Smith's character. Was she ever sober?
