Absolutely Brilliant
6 January 2022
Geeky, nostalgic fun. Any fan of the original will love this as well as newcomers to the Ghostbusters worked.

Pays homage to the original but stands on its own as a great entry into the franchise.

Rubbish Creature Feature
26 December 2021
If you want a horror film full of useless dumb characters making stupid decisions throughout the film, then this is for you. At the end of it, I wasn't sure who I wanted dead more, the creature or the main characters including the nonsensical kid. Movie would have worked better as a tongue in cheek humourous x-files type episode.

You call this scary?
16 June 2021
Probably the most boring and least scary of the 3 conjuring films. There are hardly any real scares. The opening exorcism was half decent but falls short of what the previous films had in store. When you put a boring court case within the story, you know what you are in for. Also, there should be limits as to what you can say is a true story.

Two Words

Utter Rubbish. This is the type of film that Netflix seems to have been pushing out a lot. Substanceless B Grade garbage.

Slightly atmospheric but poor overall
13 July 2020
No where close to what some professional critics praising it for. Trying to be clever when in fact it's just a metaphor of a film that is not scary at all and in fact laughable at times. The fact that they used old people's health and mental state as a fearful topic is distasteful as well. Don't waste your time on this one.

Worst Piece of Garbage
20 March 2011
This movie was the worst piece of garbage I have seen in quite a while. Who the hell actually funds this crap? And they got a director from Hollywood who has absolutely no clue what she was doing. They could have found someone from an Indian film school to put in a better and more honest effort. And the makeup/creature and CGI effects were dreadful. Even some third world countries have better special effects on their TV shows. And damn, the dialog, the acting, and the absolutely stupid characters made me want to kill them myself. I don't think there was anything in this movie at all that was worth watching. Seriously, it is not too difficult to make a decent film. In fact it is harder to make one that is so awful. Perhaps, in that case, congrats to the filmmakers.

Hollywood take notice...
20 July 2008
Hands down one the best films I've seen that lived up to expectations on the big screen.

What I really hope is that Hollywood take notice. It seems the message wasn't clear enough with Lord of the Rings, that audiences prefer more intelligent and serious films that push boundaries. We do not want more simplified children's crapfest which insult our intellect.

With The Dark Knight, the filmmakers have once again proved that movies that are more adult oriented can and will make a lot of money as well if they are done right.

So more of this please. Let's hope this movie can bring a revolutionary change in studio mentality to deliver what adult audiences demand.

Also, the benefits of a really good and intelligent film is that sometimes you have to watch it twice for the movie's key elements to really sink in, which is why, I will be watching this one again in the cinema. I hardly ever watch a movie twice on the big screen, so this one really takes the cake.

Absolutely Awful
2 February 2008
Stephen Chow has an off day, takes a dump, and presents it to his fans. It is really that bad. This movie is not funny, there is no attempt at humor, nor does it make up for with any great visuals or CGIs. There is not a single funny line coming from Stephen himself, and in fact he is not even the main character in the film. The marketing for this film is deceiving, which is why I am ever more disappointed. From what I have recently heard, this film may have been made by Stephen for poor children in mainland China, but even for doing so, his idea falls face flat and it all comes off worse.

Stephen takes a more supporting role and lets the kids (who are all really just annoying brats) run the entire film. In fact I would not be surprised if it were actually the kids in the film who actually wrote, produced and directed the film. To hear stuff like the film took 3 years to make, leaves me wondering what they did this whole time, as the script could have been written in a week's time, the filming in a month, and the CGI and post-production in 3 months.

By all accounts, if you have 6-8 years olds, let them watch this film (that is only if you don't have a good Pixar films around, or ET), but steer yourself clear, as any expectation that you may have for a Stephen Chow film would leave you pulling your hair off your head and throwing up. Steer clear off this junk.

Probably one of the worse films of the 21st Century.
24 June 2005
They should have never made any other Crow films or TV series after the first one. Not only were they never going to top it, but also in respect to Brandon Lee.

After seeing the sequel (City of Angels), one could tell how desperate they were to bank on the Title. However, after watching this flick, City of Angels seems as though it is worth a million bucks.

Now this film actually seems like it was made by a 16 year old fan of The Crow who cooked up a script after school. And then he and some friends from the neighborhood geek movie club got together and decided to shoot it. Somehow, here and there, they got some decent actors to come in and star in the film.

This movie is so bad, that I would give it the title of classic bad films.

So here is the lowdown: Awful Script. Really poor Dialogue Laughable Characters Bad Directing And just about anything else that makes a bad movie worse.

So please watch this film. It is a definition for what is considered "crap". Enjoy.
