Little Fires Everywhere (2020)
Absolutely amazing!
Felt almost obliged to write this review because of the bad reviews. This show is amazing at almost every level. The diologues, the characters, the background stories, the unfolding of events, the acting, the child actors.. all brilliant. Even the actors who play younger versions of the two leads are so good, the mimics and even the way they talk are as similar to the older versions as it gets.
This is very good.
Swiped (2018)
Terrible...
Poorly written and over acted... Absolutely terrible.
The Breaker Upperers (2018)
Very nice idea. But that's all.
The trailer is really funny and intriguing, and makes you wanna watch the flm. But the film itself does not measure up to it. There's literally no other scene that's worth your time. Just watch the trailer and you will have gotten the most out of this movie.
Good Trouble (2019)
Definitely worth watching..
I imagined this would be a more juvenile show, but it's not. It focuses on the challenges of becoming an adult, and life as a whole. Issues on sexism at work, racism, lgbt community, relationship drama are all very well intertwined in the writing of the series. Good job, writers. And the scene editing is very refreshing. Give it a chance even if you haven't seen the Fosters, and if you have, you'll love this even more.
Little Italy (2018)
This is way too bad even for a rom-com.
I have seen my share of Hallmark romances, and even they are masterpieces compared to this. A terrible version of the ' lovers from two families that hate each other' cliche, bad writing, even worse acting, and that horrible English with the fake Italian accent, and I'm neither Italian nor a native English speaker. And don't get me started on the airport scene, or the 'this is the reason we have hated each other for, for a decade' scene.
This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life. And I've seen a lot of movies.
A Million Little Things (2018)
It's not only about suicide.....
But rather about adult depression, not feeling whole or enough, with emotions and thoughts and fears which you don't share even with the ones closest to you, pretending to be happy but feeling alone and hopeless inside.
If you are an adult, not like legally adult but been through some stuff throughout your life, you will definitely find someting here.
I would have definitely binged this one if there were more episodes.
