The Spanish Princess (2019)
Too many historical errors and inaccuracies
Many historical errors and inaccuracies since minute 10 from chapter 1 season 1.
Isabel de Castilla leading a war by herself in a soldier disguise? Royal Spanish Family living the Alhambra? Juana de Castilla "La Loca" having an affair with future Henry the VIII?? Pregnants armor?? Muslims fighting in the Spanish Catholic army or serving in the Royal Court? Common, it never happened. And every chap has more than one of these medieval fantasies.
Entertained drama Serie, that's all. But not a good a historical one.
The Thirteenth Tale (2013)
Great landscapes, poor script in the movie compared to the book
I don't get why so many people rate that movie with 10 an so, perhaps they didn't read the book before.
Movie's script is poorly absolutely reinvented and runs very fast into the main secret facts of the story that in the book you have to find out for yourself, where wich ones are told in a very explicit manner in the movie, breaking out the mistery atmosphere around the whole story... Even changing things that doesn't exist or are told on a different manner on the book and jumps put to another important plot on the story (Aurelius). I understand that in a movie based on a book you cannot told all the details but probably they couldn't use a script better written.
Very disappointed with that movie. I just read the book, fall in love with the story and find out there exist a movie so I wanted to continue immerse in that beautiful story told in the book written by Diane Setterfield.
Anyway, best thing of the movie are landscapes, great, beautiful and stunned England landscapes and some scenes and house are exactly as I could imagine reading the book.
One point to keep in mind, in the book sisters are red-haired with sharp GREEN eyes, not blue, and there exist quite physical differences between them, despite being twins that are not shown in the movie and it is not told until the very end there are not only a pair girls, neither the sociopath personality, that's something you have to conclude for yourself as well as another things.
Mother! (2017)
Scared and amazing, Speechless is the word. Spoiler comment.
I don't know if saying best horror movie is an accurate calification here cause is not exactly an horror movie but it seems to. Too much allegories to real detailed life situations as religious, people in bad manners, people who don't respect privacy or private property, people able to took anything away with or without permission, ilegal parties, raves, anarchy, caos, drugs, sex, public sex, orgy parties, rough manners, insults, police attacks, something that reminds a war... And sects with human sacrifices include.
Wtf, nothing of that was on the resume preview of the movie until watching it. If I've known any of these I probably wouldn't have seen it. In fact I almost was going to vomit near the end of the film. Common, I never shaked too much watching a movie since a lot of time. I would think it twice to do it again.
Speechless is the right word here and probably unexpected.
I'm sorry for the spoiler content but, c'mmon, it was supposed to be a bored movie about a couple in troubling expecting a baby with some "unexpected visitors", or at least that was it said in the resume preview.
If you want to watch it, there are only two ways to rate it: You Love it or You Hate it.
Cold Skin (2017)
Great book Poor film
I read the book before I discovered there was a film and I expected something better even when it's a short book (220 pages more or less). In fact, there's a big mistake hiding the background story in the film that made it lack of content and nonsense itself. The book shows a background of each of the characters, Friend was a soldier escaping from memories and consequences of a civil war in Ireland, Grüner....well Grüner is not Grüner himself, and the "toads" (monsters) has its own story behind as well the island has its own secret. All of them shows a mirror of our own society but you cannot see neither of this in the film...
Amazing book if you love something to think later. An entertaining film which doesn't show the essence of its book, choose yourself.
Noah (2014)
A creative sort of biblical stories messed up to the Ark of Noah, all in one, plus some Ents of LOTR (you know, the walking trees)
Well, the tittle above is a very well resume of the movie, don't spend your time, unless you're in need of a good laugh.
I'm not a believer and I'm not either a big fan of biblical movies since I was a child... But I know many stories of the bible and I appreciate a good movie of any kind, even biblical. If you're expecting a true story of the Ark of Noah, this is not your movie. Here you can find references to Holy Saint Mary, the story of Jacob, the sacrifice of Isaac/Abraham, the story of Abel and Cain, the snake of the apple in the paradise... Even you can find Mathusaleh and Satan all together! Don't forget the Big Bang and the darwinism theory of the origin of men in the world, including dinosaurs.
And all of that is telling in a mixed weird story of Noah and his Ark, who dreamed some "signs" of the flood while God himself simply didn't appear with the exception of destroying everything and made Noah got into feared psycothics attacks next to dove's peace. The Ark himself is builded with the help of some trees or rocks alive, maybe some Ents or maybe some Transformers, who knows...
Yeah, best movie ever... Good laugh
