The Walking Dead: The First Day of the Rest of Your Life (2017)
Heartbreaking
-spoiler free, with little exceptions (nothing major)-
Wow! This is a heartbreaking season finale! To me this is one of the best episodes of TWD ever. The action is so good... and I just screamed during the last 30 minutes! What I really loved was Maggie and Enid in action. They are such a cool team. Badass queens! Also Paul aka Jesus kicking ass is always nice to watch!
I really hate this Arat bitch. She is one of the many Saviors I want to see die in a horrible, horrible way... Simon is great as always, but I hate him as well. Same goes for Negan. Great actors though...
This episode is a good mixture of drama and action. Seeing an old friend again was so heartbreaking and delightful at the same time! That was the real drama for me! Well, and the revelation in Alexandria. What a crazy episode...
Can't wait for an epic season 8. BOOM!
The Walking Dead: Swear (2016)
Well done!
I'm a little bit surprised, to be honest. I didn't expect this episode to be so enjoyable and good. I'm going to give it a 10 out of 10 because there will be people out there just hating on this episode, it deserves a stable rating over 8.0! (Same goes with episode 5 "Go Getters", but I guess it's too late for that...) Tara really rocks, I enjoyed Alanna's performance. She is a badass and I love to see her getting some screen time. Tara is quite an underrated minor character and AMC did the right thing to deliver an episode like this. I also liked Heath, he's a decent guy.
The structure of this week's episode is well-made and I enjoyed the story-telling throughout. People will complain about the bottle-episode-scheme, but I have no problems with that.
There was a very touching scene that made me cry like a baby. I think the writers didn't even intend to make this a sad scene, but as I'm a shipper of D and T, I just ... well.
Can't wait to see more of Tara in the upcoming episodes! Unbelievable that the mid-season break looms near... Dammit!
The Walking Dead: The Day Will Come When You Won't Be (2016)
Gut Punch
This episode left me speechless. The tension is unbearable and what the actors deliver is just top-notch. "Who did he pick?" was the big question after the season 6 finale. This season premiere answers that question in a shocking and unexpected way...
When I started to watch this episode, my heart was beating so fast that I almost decided to leave the room. What AMC built up here is on the one hand amazing and on the other hand just painful. I don't want anyone of Rick's group to suffer or to have fear - but Negan IS fear itself.
I think this episode will stay in our hearts and minds for a very long time - and it's a game-changer as well. How will the rest of season 7 look like? How will everything develop?
The Walking Dead: Last Day on Earth (2016)
Grand Finale
Season 6s final episode is excellent. The introduction of the new big threat is well-executed and our beloved characters find themselves in a serious situation. My belly still hurts. This episode is a killer in every way possible.
I love the acting throughout. The storytelling is very engaging and entertaining. I really appreciate that this episode is 60 minutes long. Greg Nicotero did an amazing job by directing this superb season six finale. He should be the director of more episodes.
Lauren Cohan's acting is beyond everything. She is so amazing. I noticed that I especially cared for her fate. Everything is so uneven in this episode. Man. There are also very heart-breaking moments in this week's installment. Wow, "Last Day on Earth" will stay with me for a while.
The Walking Dead: Knots Untie (2016)
Setting Up For More
I enjoyed this episode very much. Maggie has nice scenes in "Knots Untie", I just love Cohan's acting. The story leads to an interesting direction and I can't wait for more. This episode sets up for more and something big. I'm really worried about Heath and Tara. Will they be OK on there supply run? The Hilltop Colony along with characters like Gregory are introduced in a very well-executed way. Season 6 is such an eventful season. I love it. To be honest, this season (along with all the other seasons of TWD) are better ... binge watched. The one-week-waits are just pure pain and longer breaks like that make you tend to forget certain details or supporting characters.
The Walking Dead: The Next World (2016)
I'm really happy and pleased!
What a nice episode. It is entertaining, well-written, funny and also touching. And there is finally another love-interest-plot, yeah! I really enjoyed this episode. Jesus is a freaking cool yet uneven character and the scenes with him and Daryl are hilarious. Man, I love the cast. Superb acting throughout. Highly enjoyable.
I think Denise is an important part of the community and her character developed from episode 2 (JSS) on in a very well-executed way. Also Spencer has nice moments in this tenth episode of season 6. Oh, Carl is also in this episode, actually in a pretty good condition. I think one or two months have passed since the crazy stuff Alexandria went through in the previous episode.
I can't wait for more and in my humble opinion this show never gets boring. It's so interesting and I always want to know what happens next. Another week of waiting... Ugh!
The Leftovers: International Assassin (2015)
What was that?
Man, my brain still hurts. This is one screwed up episode! But in an awesome freaking way! Damn, I'm so confused but I also have tears in my eyes. What was that? Can anyone explain it to me?
The acting is so good... Wow. And the director did a great job in delivering the main message and the purpose of this episode. Phew, philosophical stuff... This episode kinda scared me!
As you can see and read, I'm not really by myself... This episodes was too good to be true. It's a brain-shaker and full of interesting scenes. It keeps you guessing throughout.
Kevin is hot as always. We got some nice shots of him. Good that he's not only handsome, his acting skills are amazing!
The Walking Dead: JSS (2015)
I loved the Eugene-Tara-Denise side-plot!
Wow, this episode is such a blast! There is so much going on. But I enjoyed the scenes with Tara, Denise and Eugene most. Denise has been introduced in a very decent way and I liked her immediately. She struggles with herself and her self-confidence is about to crumble. Tara and Eugene, however, encourage her and I think she will be an exceptional part of the community. Her struggles are human and I can totally relate to her situation. We all have so many responsibilities in our lives and they don't make us happy all the time. It's good that we have people around us who encourage us. Friends, family, colleagues. The writing of this episode is really good, I enjoyed it throughout!
The Walking Dead: Start to Finish (2015)
A great episode!
Man, this episode left me speechless. It's one of these gut-wrenching episodes. "Start to Finish" played with my feelings throughout and I don't know what to do during the TWD winter break.
The acting is great and the writing does the job of delivering suspense and a huge bunch of drama. I enjoyed Deanna the most and the music during her scenes just... wow. The whole plot with the Wolf is awesome. To see Michonne back in action is also a delight.
This episode is very uneven (in a good way). Especially fans of the comics will love it. This episode offers some great scenes - but it feels way too short!
