Shingeki no Kyojin: Memories of the Future (2022)
Do the plot twists ever stop?
Two 10/10 episodes in a row. What an insane episode. And also a perfect adaptation of the manga. I don't know what else there is to say here. MAPPA delivered its best work here and this is the peak for Attack on Titan.
Also kudos to all the voice actors in this episode, they delivered the lines better than I could've ever dreamed of.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Two Brothers (2022)
Amazing
This episode was the definition of peak fiction to me. Attack on Titan is one of the only shows where 25 minutes feel like they pass in 5 seconds. I honestly think this was the best episode of the show so far. It does not get better from here.. or does it? Tune in next week to find out!
Shingeki no Kyojin: Declaration of War (2021)
Amazing.
This will surely go down as one of the best anime episodes in history. Attack on Titan is now a masterpiece and might go down as one of the greatest tales of fiction in history. A modern classic.
Legends of Tomorrow: Meet the Legends (2020)
Seriously?
I loved this show for a while, and this season premiere really really annoyed me. Season 3 was amazing and I loved every bit of it, then season 4 came along and it was acceptable, but this season 5 premiere was the worst. Nothing makes sense anymore and I couldn't follow the story at all. The mockumentary aspect also wasn't funny to me and it was a complete mess where it felt like actors went completely out of character for the whole episode. I'm kind of missed off cause this used to be one of my favorite shows, and this is a worrying sign for the rest of the season. I hope they get back on track soon.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 2: The Child (2019)
This one outdoes the first one
While the first episode of 'The Mandalorian' was really good, the pace was way too fast. This was necessary for the introduction of the characters and is common in TV shows, but it means that sometimes it could leave the viewer confused with what was happening. In this second episode, things slowed down a bit. You know who the characters are, and the slowing down is actually used in such a way, that it makes everything more tense. The shots used in this show.. they're probably among the best I've ever seen in a TV show. The creator of the show also aimed for a western theme for the music, and it really feels like a modern 'the good, the bad and the ugly' in a galaxy far, far away. It is just really good. For the love of God, don't be discouraged by the first episode to stop the show. It's amazing now.
