Gripping, exciting documentary about an unbelievable case
6 July 2022
I have followed this case on and off over the years, but this feature-length documentary by Skye Borgman convinced me once again that this is one of the most bizarre and tragic true-crime cases of recent decades. The story, with all its unbelievable twists and turns, was told sensitively but in a decidedly suspenseful manner. Above all, the involvement of the many people Suzanne Sevakis came into contact with is remarkable. Another success for Skye Borgman, who already presented an excellent documentary about human abysses with "Abducted in Plain Sight". I hope there is more to come. "Girl in the Picture" is a must-see if you are interested in true-crime documentaries.
